Making movie adaptations makes it accessible for people less interested in reading and playing games. Personally, I got my dad interested in Percy Jackson and The Last of Us only because of the TV shows. A detail I really like in Not Sorry For Loving you is that Calypso never actually apologizes for her behavior. She admits what she did was wrong, but the only time she actually says she's sorry is when she says "I'm sorry my love's too much for you" which is similar to what a lot of manipulators say. "I'm sorry you feel that way". Instead of actually apologizing she basically puts the blame on Odysseus.
