Seriously your art style is ideal in my mind and I can see the effort that goes into coloring and shading when it comes to many of the comics you've produced so far.

I'd say if there's anything to improve on, it would be some grammar stuff here and there. Might be good to let friends or your husband proofread it just to make sure before releasing it.

Otherwise as is, love your style, got a weakness for plump shortstacks and Absolute Territory is my Religon so keep on drawing what makes you happy and what catches your interest. 😁👍

Alright after the move, I'm think of doing some practice and style studies to improve. Try to do some every once and a while.

lol oddly enough, asking for more suggestions is only going to compile onto the myriad of other choices you already have so asking might make the process that much more difficult.

From my experience, its always good to choose an artist who's style resonates with you the most, one you enjoy looking at and find very little flaws in from your own personal perspective.

After that process, consider the artist's mentality and whether or not they're at least a decent human being and willing to maintain a basic level of communication with you throughout the process. Sketching, line-art, toning, coloring, shading. Sadly and ironically, many artist lack any real sense of character and are pretty self-absorbed, more focused on what they want to draw, forgetting that they're putting the pencil-to-paper for someone else and without being open to communication and criticism, the whole experience can become a downtrodden issue that leaves a bad taste in someone's mouth. Heard many commission horror stories with some who struggle with a category.

Does anyone have recommendations for me regarding people who do commissions? I see a lot of really good artists, but I get choice paralysis, so any suggestions are welcome

Ok with that outta the way, good fucking God, is this the absolute shit! Ugh! Got a little too damn excited reading this and the last few ones. Been waiting and would rather post here on patreon because it seems more trafficked here but.... wow. While melled42 definitely is in my Top 3 favorite artists in this fandom for their art style and character focus. This shit hits me in all the right areas that gets me Ace Ventura levels of excited when reading it. I love how, despite the want of sex, violence and gore, the characters feel real and grounded, a layered just enough so you can understand their growth and struggle while also presenting realistic responses that fit within their characters, given what we know and this, is a nice combination. Cheese aside, I completely adore this because it represents a truth about people that most don't want to accept and saying it might piss people off but I'm gonna;

We Love Selfishly

Each and every single one of us, wants to imagine the idea that our love is boundless, endless, all encompassing and pure. That we love to make other people happy but honestly, that's false or at least, a half truth at best. Most of us who can feel romantic and sexual love, instinctively, despite our natural urges in an attempt to present our love in altruistic manners, deep down inside are seeking some form of validation, comfort, and acceptance from an external force. We see someone, who we only want to see us. Want us. Love us. To have and obtain something and someone that is ours and only ours that will never walk away and will always prioritize us. It is a selfish desire to seek such a form of love from others, to give ourselves meaning, value and purpose and honestly, that's perfectly fine! Its normal. Its probably the reason why so many people love Tsunderes and Yanderes despite the exaggerated extremes portrayed in media. We want someone that will only show us their truest, deepest and most vulnerable sides to their personalty. Gain access to a part of that person no other living person will ever be able to scratch. We want to feel needed, loved and wanted by someone who'd refuse to let us go, even in the face of possible better options, be it looks, personality, or hobbies. For someone to see the significance of who we are, even when we ourselves can't, and this grounded, instinctive trait has probably (in my most biased opinion) has been shown by Mel the best.

The way these two show fear at the concept of expressing their sense of vulnerability to each other, yet the refusal to accept a life where they can't be their absolute and truest selves with one another is fucking peak! For the first time (from my interpretation) Ewen is making a real choice to ve vulnerable, taking something they actually want for themselves, even if they themselves don't fully understand their own desires. They cling to the one person who gave their existence value, who focused solely on them and only them and for a time, could truly understand who and what they were, despite the clear bad blood between them. It shows how loving selfishly can lead to so many negative thoughts of doubt, worthlessness, insecurity (Which is ok for any and all genders to have) which can eat away at someone's mental health. Yet despite this, its the honest statement and open conversation that will ultimately save them from creating that connection with someone they want based on lies or worse, breaking the bond they wanted for so long due to their own preconceived notions on the subject.

These two are like everyone, desires, happiness, insecurities and fears. So many conflicting layers without a true proper understanding of who they are. So many of us are broken in ways we don't want to admit, but still desire to take the shards of our souls, combine them with another's and create a Stained-Glass Mural that will express the beauty of what we are and I fucking love how Ewen and Narinder truly represent this concept both physically through their actions and psychologically through their development. I wish so many other artists here would take from Melled when comes to this. Not just be willing to show a character has fears, but allow their characters to be OPENLY vulnerable with each other. To revel in pain and angst can be fun but is ultimately empty in the face of actual progressive growth and development.

Understand this is only half my thoughts at best and I could keep going but I think I need to lay down cuz I'm a little too damn excited. Remember these are my own personal opinionated thoughts so if anyone disagrees, feel free. But for me; Easily Top 3 artists in Cult of the Lamb hands down.

i'm working on a goat and their nari (pupinder) little comic... is about fear and comfort and a little bit angsty (yeah the good stuff) they have this really weird and a little bit toxic situationship, i'll explain it better maybe one day but for now i'll share some wips because 1. i like them so much! 2. i'm not sure i will ever finish this lmao

they argue a lot... mostly because pupinder is really kind and caring (opposit of nari lmao) ang goat is a menace

Started out as a warm up, turned into the project as usual😄✨

I would say it definitely it should be metaphorical. The idea would set it apart from, but would still serve as a good parallel for the core universe. The idea that Narinder has his power and social influence limited/controlled by his other siblings through magic would be ideal and to bypass this limitation, he shares his power with Lamb who has no true allegiance to anyone but themselves.

As for the siblings, I'd offer an idea but please, do not let me take or taint your creative process and influence, just tossing my two cents into the mix;

But instead of Lamb needing to outright kill the other siblings, possibly because they're either too stronger or doing so 1 at a time would result in all the other regions within their empire to instantly turn against Narinder and foil the plan, what if Narinder simply wants to usurp each of them by having each of them defeated and humiliated publicly at their own area of expertise, causing their Nobles, Followers and Subjects to lose faith in them and change their allegiance, thus removing their power of authority?

A test of Foresight for Leshy, one that involves solving puzzles or moving through a maze filled with traps and illusions. A test of Strength for Heket, proving their endurance by surviving a harsh ordeal like carrying a bolder to a location under a certain time. A test of Knowledge for Kallamar, something that challenges the Lamb's expertise in biology, chemistry or trivia. And a test of Skill for Shamura, defeating a series of varying combatants leading up to the head honcho himself.

Then finally when Narinder thinks its their time to shine, Lamb challenges them as well for their title and throne in a test of Courage that puts their lives on the line against one another (Can decided if he dies or not).

But anyways, those my late night thoughts. Take them as you shall with the smallest grains of salt you can muster lol

wait does narinder still get chained up in your royal au? asking bc the kisses keep the lamb from going crazy and if they didn't see him because he's locked up 😥

Im still not sure on what to do with his and his siblings backstory yet and wheter if the chained up thing should be a methoporical or a literal one

Ya know, my favorite thing about this comic is the moral ambiguity of Narinder's portrayal. Having played the game and seen how the Fandom interprets Narinder, I'm actually annoyed with the general consensus that in order to make fan's self-insert Lamb feel like this justified victim, Narinder is a vow-breaker who intentionally makes false-promises, lies and harms their Lamb for personal gain. 😤

Here, I can really see how Narinder could be seen as a being of worship once-upon-a-time, whether or not the story of his Sibling Conflict told here is truth, fabrication or somewhere in between. He's clearly someone who's felt hurt, longs to pursue his goals and is seeking some personal sense of purpose beyond what Fate has decided for him. Here, I can feel while his intentions aren't entirely pure, they're not this comical level of evil seen by the majority of the Fandom and its very much refreshing to say the least. 😌

This is one of the few cotl comic lores I'm very much invested in and would like to see more of. The fundamental originality of showing both sides aren't evil, but the signs of corruption are just buried below the surface is something I really enjoy. 🎉🎉🎉
