Sorry to anyone who reads this ask, I will have it tagged. First of all I don't read fics like that, but is it of a FICTIONAL character? Then there is no issue. I'm extremely uncomfortable at the idea of a toddler aged character in a situation like that but I won't harass someone or say it shouldn't exist if it is STRICTLY FICTION. Also I think you lot forget that fictional characters don't look like, and sometimes, don't act like, real people. They are drawn in proportions that would look arguably horrifying if directly translated to real life. They aren't real, nor are they breathing or capable of feeling real pain. They are, essentially, the pixelated equivalent of dolls. Any fictional character can be put into any situation at any age, anytime, anywhere, and it would not cause harm to a real person because that character does not exist. You have to be able to learn to distinguish a real person from a fictional character, they are not comparable to each other. Also, get help right? Whether you believe it or not darkshipping is approved by a lot of therapists as a healthy coping mechanism. If your therapist tells you it isn't good for you to do/utilize, it's because they recognize that those fictional concepts cause you some form of discomfort. They will form their therapy plans around YOUR needs, so everyone will have different coping mechanisms. It not being the best outlet for you doesn't mean it isn't a good outlet for someone else. Alternatively, darkshipping doesn't need to be confined to "it's only acceptable if its for coping", it's fine to like dark content in general. If it wasn't fine, you guys wouldn't freely enjoy horror movies or video games like GTA. As I've said before, if proshippers make you uncomfortable and are apart of your DNI, don't stress yourself out by interacting with me first. Have a good day/night anon

When I feel better, I was thinking about starting some more self-ship centered posts like imagines and maybe reblog games if anyone is interested. All for proselfshippers of course! And still post general proship positivity and encouragement while I'm at it. I also draw and have improved a lot over the years so, BUT if this doesn't interest you guys on this blog I'll make a separate blog instead :) !

Proselfshippers with secret f/os, here's a reminder that they love you so much and they don't mind at all that you're keeping them secret! They're more than content and happy to just be with you, as long as you're comfortable that's all that matters. Just know that just because they're secret doesn't make your relationship with them any less real nor does it take away from how precious the connection is. No matter the reason they'll understand, they love you just as much as they would if you didn't keep them secret, don't worry <3

Awww sweetie! Im so so sorry, selfshipping is absolutely NOT weird, whatsoever! It is mainly used a coping mechanism too, and i dont stand for people making fun of coping mechanisms, or hypocrisy! If theyre allowed to do it then you are too, no buts about it! Have fun with selfshipping love, its not cringy at all no matter how you selfship, its a wonderful thing to explore and have fun with, be you and be happy, do what makes you comfortable, and just know i fully support you on it! Proship has always been and will always be valid! Proshipping existed well before the discourse became a thing! Back when people shipped sebaciel without batting an eye and read whatever the hell they wanted without the fear of being a 'bad person'. When everyone knew that finding these topics interesting in fiction didn't correlate to their views irl. When people knew to block what they didn't like, and didn't threaten real people over their own dislikes. These things have always existed in fandom spaces, and though it's valid to hate certain dynamics and topics in fiction it doesn't mean anyone deserves to be threatened and harassed if they do like those fictional ideas! I love you proshippers and you are always welcome here!

I just came across ur post and r u srs proship is just anitharassment,,, I kept hearing it was only problematic ships from antis (-_-') m not deeply involved in the discourse so I didnt know but antis tell ppl proship is problematic ship so much I thought thats what it was too,,, I never thought that was good reason to harass ppl becuz it is just fiction right? Hi anon, I'm sorry you were misinformed oh no 😭 Yes, proship is anti-harassment and anti-censorship especially for fictional ships. I assume you're referring to my post explaining the whole 'It's darkship not proship' situation, and as I mentioned in that post people can be a darkshipper and still not be a proshipper, because proship is just the whole anti-harassment part. You aren't obligated to like anything being a proshipper, it's just your actions towards other real, living people that determine if you're proship or antiship. I hope it's all cleared up, antis do (very frequently) incorrectly describe what proship is, unfortunately. Thank you for the ask anon and I hope you have a lovely day!

NO. IT IS NOT OKAY TO HARASS ANTISHIPPERS.

You cannot call yourself "anti-harassment" and turn around and harass antishippers. I don't care how utterly ridiculous or disgusting they're being. You block, report what is reportable, and move on.

I'm not talking about leaving a thoughtful indepth comment about your stance on shipping or explaining what proship actually means. I'm talking about the people who will send death threats to some antis, the people who say it's "alright to call them slurs" (no??? It's not??? Babe that is the exact justification antis use about harassing you!), and the people who claim that it's "just natural".

You don't get to do what the "bad people" do just because you're a part of the "good group". You can call yourself anti-harassment all you want, but if you're harassing others, you're just an anti. You're doing the same shit they do just to different people. Revenge and punching back feels nice, but an eye for an eye will make the world go blind. Be the mature one. That's what being proship is about. It's not about "oooo I ship something dark-" no, it's about gritting your teeth and hitting the block button when a conversation turns sour. It's about sighing and moving on when one of your moots vague posts about you. It's about finding peace from not putting your brain in other people's bedrooms.

Being proship is "anti-censorship", "anti-harassment", sals, and dldr. Not "you're the opposite! Let me harass you."
