you lie on a bed. It’s a fairly large bed, and can comfortably fit two people. You lay with your head on the end opposite to the one with pillows, with your legs resting against the pillows and the bed frame. You can feel your feet touching the wall behind the bed, and the quilt hanging in front of the wall, propped up by the bed’s bannisters. you lie near the edge of the bed, not close enough where you fear you may fall off, and with some space between you and the edge. Sitting on that narrow strip of space is a *cat*

she is a fairly large house cat, and is much heavier than average. Due to the small space she occupies, she leans on top of you slightly, but despite her size you don’t feel uncomfortable from the pressure. She has short fur, soft to the touch. With one hand you constantly strike her fur, doing so repeatedly until it becomes almost automatic, requiring no effort on your part. Each stroke elects a purr, and similar to how one would wind a music box. The noise is pleasant to your ears, and your heart fills with satisfaction knowing this magnificent creature is so pleased by such a simple gesture.

You consider sharing this moment with others in hopes that they will feel as satisfied as you do right now, and feel as much joy as the feline laying with you. You imagine writing a post, putting others in your shoes, all to share this moment with others. In your head, you go over what you might write, and the first line comes to your mind immediately;

her reasoning? She knew Lampent was one of my favorite Pokemon, and said that they were similarly “glowy”.
