Izuku stumbled forward, his broken arms throbbing. He managed to find his footing and stop his fall. Kota looked at him, worried.
“I'm okay” Izuku huffed as he caught his breath.
“We need to get going. I think the villains are here to kidnaped of the students. I have to tell everyone. But first and foremost,... I've gotta protect you.” a determined look hardened Midoriya's face as he glanced back at the unconscious form of the villain. This look was ruined by one of his eyes that was close to swelling up.
“Hey kid, the only way that people can get through that forest is if you kill the fires. We need your quirk.” Izuku said. He crouched down and turned so that Kota could climb on his back.
“Hop on! I am gonna get you back to camp first” he ordered.
“Can you still move... with those injuries?!” Kota hesitated. He slowly wrapped his arms around Izuku's neck. One for all crackled around the both of them as Izuku powered up.
“I save my legs for this.”
It seemed like an eternity, though it was only a minute while Midoriya processed what had been said, his mouth still hanging open.
“You think that All Might is my dad?” he asked, “and you’re gonna tell everyone that I’m his son?”
“Yes, and yes. Problem?”
“I don’t know where you get your information, but you are dead wrong. He's not my dad” Midoriya said with a nervous chuckle. Heat was surging up his face that had nothing to do with the fact the villains were all looking at him knowingly. It was just hot in here, that’s all.
“You can't lie to us.” Bad touch man smiled.
“I... but... you... HE’S NOT MY DAD!!!” Izuku snapped.
"You!" he snarled, "You mewling ill-breed spawn of the devil. The fair lady of scarlet, with eyes as pools of indigo, and lips of roses, you do not deserve to speak in her presence, nay even cast thine swampy green gaze upon her. Her effortless beauty. Her endless and perfect grace and elegance."
Ladybug paused, her arm posed to throw her yo-yo as she stared back at the Akuma. Chat's heart nearly choked him with joy as she frowned, unimpressed with the show.
“The tracker led to this location,” Momo said as she walked. Her heels click-clacking on the concrete, sweat dripping down her face. They had been walking for a while and the night was breathlessly humid, hiding their nervous sweat with regular perspiration. The alley that they stood in was narrow and trashy. Not much room for breathing space.
“So, this is their hideout...? I’d buy that!” Kirishima exclaimed.
“We can't be sure but... I've been checking and the villains haven't moved from here all day.” Momo looked back at them. She was just grateful for the glasses that hid her expression from them. She didn’t want anyone to see that she was terrified. Urararka didn’t have to hide anything. Her round face was set with determination. She wasn’t going to give up or stop until they had Midoriya back.
“Just because the villains are here doesn’t necessarily mean Midoriya is too. I need you all to realize that we’re standing here now based on very limited information.” Momo continued.
“None of us are suited to stealth missions like Jiro and Hagakure. So, I'm stopping this thing at the first hint of danger... because you’re my friends. And I won't hesitate to notify the authorities!” Iida added.
“Thank you, Iida. Just give me a minute to think... about what can actually do.” Bakugo said.
“We have to think like Midoriya to save Midoriya!” Uraraka chirped, “Bakugo, what would he do?”
Chapter seven whoop whoop!
Sabine was in the bakery with her husband. The sweet scent of sugar and chocolate wafted in the air as she mixed a bowl of cookie dough together. It was her kwami’s favorite kind of cookie, chocolate chip. Sabine had to make more of those now that she was coccinelle. Tikki loved them and would wait under the table so that Sabine would be able to sneak her bits and pieces every so often with a warm smile. Tom was busy working on a birthday cake that someone had specially ordered for tomorrow. He was using a raspberry buttercream frosting that smelled delectable, expertly spreading the frosting on with a spatula. Of course Sabine had to sneak a little taste of it from the bowl for Tikki. The kwami felt lucky that her miraculous holder worked in a bakery.
here is a li'preveiw.
All might could see that his young predecessor was trying but failing to take down a single robot.
'He can't use one for all yet, can he? Oh dear. It must be hard for him. If only could tell him to take a break, then he would figure out how to use it out of pure spite,' All Might thought, putting his chin on his hand as he leaned closer to the screen.
"Alright, we only have a few more minutes to wait to see how everyone will react to our real test." the strange bear, cat, mouse thing that was called Principal Nezu announced.
All the other teachers murmured in excitement, but All Might could only worry.
'Come on young Midoriya, this is your last chance to prove yourself.' he pleaded to the mini Midoriya on screen, ‘I know you can do it. Where is the fire that you showed me when we first met?’
Chapter two of my first fanfiction.
“You got your power from All Might, didn’t you,” Bakugo said softly. He stared at Midoriya as if daring him to challenge what he said.
Midoriya blinked at him. So, this was what Bakugo had wanted to talk about. It seemed stupid for them to come all the way out here. The two of them stood in ground beta in the dead of night, past curfew. If Midoriya had known that this was what it was about, he wouldn’t have come at all.
Too late now.
Izuku landed with a thud, on all fours. A look of shock and pride on his face.
‘It worked?! It WORKED! My full cowling worked! I really can fight!’ he thought with a grin. It looked like he would be able to face off the hero killer after all. The hero killed licked a drop of blood off the blade and Izuku felt a cold shudder wash over him, freezing him in place.
“Wha-?”
“You act differently then you did during the sports festival. You fight with more honor than reckless abandon. You still lack power, but you’re smarter than you look. so many fools out there are nothing but talk... but you... are worth keeping alive... Unlike these others.” Stain said as he walked over to Iida.
“Oh crap! No don’t!” Izuku yelled.
“...Ugh!!” Iida grunted as he eyed the blade, straining to move. Before Stain could take another step closer, and wall of flame and ice blocked his path, coming from nowhere. Stain had to jump out of the way to avoid getting frost-burned.
“Midoriya... learn to write more specific directions. I was almost too late.” said the one and only half ‘n half fire and ice user. Todoroki.
Ever since the camping incident, Bakugo had been feeling confused, bewildered, a little angry, confuzzled, tricked, fooled, bamboozled, and unhinged. Things just weren’t making sense to him. It was like he had woken up that morning to find that his dad had an anger problem and his mother had become the sweetest creature on earth. Or gravity had shifted so that he could walk on the ceiling.
Why had Izuku saved him? It didn’t make sense. Midoriya didn’t even like him, didn’t even acknowledge his presence when they were standing in the same room. Sure, Midoriya had saved him before, but that was different. This time he was inviting himself to a world of pain. Bakugo had been scared, but if he could do it all over again, he would have had Midoriya stay. The kid had broken arms for goodness' sake.
“I can't believe that we won,” Bakugo said as he looked at Iida and Uraraka.
“I can, we work well together. Poor Kirishima. He had two very uncooperative people on his team. It was no surprise we beat them.” Uraraka said.
“Yes, it was their lack of teamwork the caused them to fail. If they had worked together, then we would have undoubtedly lost.” Iida said.
“We should do something to celebrate.” Bakugo found himself suggesting. He almost clapped a hand over his mouth. He looked at the ground, not wanting to see their faces when they told him no. If he was lucky, they would be nice and try to think up reasons why they couldn’t. Uraraka and Iida made eye contact and they smiled at him. Unknown to anyone. Uraraka and Iida had made an agreement to help get Bakugo out of his shell.
“Yeah, that sounds like fun.” Uraraka said.
“We could go to the library to study!” Iida said. Bakugo and Uraraka stopped and looked at him weirdly.
“If we want to excel at the things we have been doing then we must study more!” Iida explained, chopping at the air.
“Okay then, let's go study,” Bakugo said.
