i was just in the middle of a dissasociation episode and for some reason the song man or muppet or whatever popped into my head and now im concious again. literally pulled me out of a mental state that my therapist struggles with. what the fuck
okay so some people in the comments were talking about how stupid it is that we're expected to be the party of peace and love and always respect everyone when theyre literally trying to put people in camps and YEAH. i am all for peace and love and respect as far as i can extend it but i cant extend it over a chasm yk. i will not stoop to their level of calling them modified slurs and shit but i will call them stupid and facists because thats what they are.
i had to submit a study guide for my history final. i made two versions, one to submit and one to actually study. the one to study was mostly bill & ted's quotes and hamilton. i submitted the wrong one to google and had to shamefully apologize for calling napoleon a dick. i still have not lived that down with my friends tbh
IM GOING TO STAB MYSELF IN THE FOOT I JUST SENT MY ENGLISH TEACHER MY ESSAY ON HAMLET AND IT WAS STILL NAMED “the fresh prince of denmark yo holla”
I think Damian is a very kind person. SO much SO that he forgives his crazy father, Bruce, for repeatedly hurting him emotionally.
And... I think Bruce must be aware of this, which is why he was afraid when Damian said he would stop being Robin.
"HE DID NOT COME TO GOTHAM TO BE BRUCE WAYNE'S SON OR TO LIVE A NORMAL LIFE."
What Bruce said to Jason in Batman and Robin #18 is true. Even though Damian is underage, he is capable enough to live on his own without parental guidance.
Damian is different from Bruce's other adopted children, not because he is Bruce's biological son, but because Damian doesn’t need parents to support him in terms of living and everyday needs. (Of course, he's Al Ghul, and Talia has taught him enough skills to survive without his parents.)
Therefore, I’m not surprised that Bruce expressed his fear of losing Damian when he said, "HE CAME FOR BATMAN. IF HE IS NOT BATMAN'S PARTNER ANYMORE, THERE IS NOTHING KEEPING HIM HERE."
It seems that the world's greatest detective and the world's most clueless father are the same person.
Bruce doesn’t even realize that Damian still wants to be the son of Bruce Wayne.
Damian still wants the things Bruce gives to his adopted children so easily : unconditional love & trust.
Not love & trust that are earned by being tested and proving that Damian is good enough to be Bruce’s son.
hey now. hey now. was that really necessary. was it.
Was in a silly little mood.
hyperfixation please stay with me long enough to complete the project. hyperfixation do not fade. hyperfixation finish what you started for the love of god
Moving medieval manuscript art!
yes this is real its from supersons lmao. i think issue 4 or 5? i just remember audibly snorting when i read it
am i just posting any superbat panel i see? yeah pretty much
To add on this, alternatively, Bruce bringing over a Normal Person Friend™️ for once in his life and the entire family being completely convinced that they're some kind of secret hero and very unsubtly trying to sleuth out which one. They're all 100% sure that Bruce is just fucking with them and are completely detirmed to find out what George the accountant is actually up to. Is he a hero? Maybe an anti-hero that Bruce won't admit he enjoys the company of for his ego's sake? They don't know, but, goddammit, they want to. Bruce insists he's just a friend from a charity gala. BUT IS HE REALLY THOUGH.
I have seen a lot of fics about the Justice League finding out Bruce has kids and being shocked about it, but what about the other way around? Like imagine Dick ghosting Bruce and ignoring everything related to Batman for six months after an argument and the day he finally decides to visit to make amends he finds fuckin Superman chilling on his kitchen, or like Jason coming back from the dead, ready to fuck shit up, just to get whiplash after finding out that his loser dad has friends and one of them is Wonder Woman
the bat and the bird
so funny that humans imagined a creature that is like a human but bigger and called it a “giant”. that’s such an uncreative name. that’s just an adjective. “it’s a giant!” “a giant what?!” “a giant… um. yeah. giant.”
he/him, artist, writer, heavily hyperfixated on dc (specifically the robins rn), traumatized and has the attention span and general inflection of a small insect thats been stepped on. enjoy
