He stands rigid, chewing on his lip as his mind buzzes with possible outcomes of knocking on Roman’s door. ‘Is he working on something? What if I’m interrupting him? I could make him mad. I shouldn’t bother him.’ He raises his hand to knock-

And he’s gone. Retreating back to his room in a flash.
In a brief instant of frustration he slams the door behind him, regretting it instantly as the sound resonates throughout the gloomy room. He settles on the floor beside his bed, back pressed against the wall.
