✏️Who’s your favorite character to draw/write?

Ooo that's a bit of a toughie

In terms of writing at least, I'm so attached to my main three, but I'm gonna have to say Coldcrash is first with Shadestar and Lightchaser close behind. Coldcrash started as this wide-eyed, excited kit going on an adventure with two apprentices to becoming a medicine cat who is especially connected to StarClan and feels weighed by what she knows. She still feels unsure about how best to go about it, with only being able to ask the other medicine cats every half-moon. She's still very much growing into her own, and I'm enjoying watching that happen

As for drawing, I have to say Larchmask. she just feels so flowy and fun to draw! Plus her color palette is just chef's kiss.

There's another character i love drawing but they can't be revealed yet shhhhhh

TidalClan Territories

TidalClan Territories

Map of TidalClan's territory and the neighbouring Clans!

More details about the different Clans and landmarks can be found below the cut

*Friendly Note: Any Clans that share names with existing ClanGen comics/runs are completely coincidental.

TidalClan

TidalClan’s Camp is made up against the furthest cliff point along the coastline. Surrounded by a rugged ring of stones, the cliff face holds two small caves, one being the Medicine Den and the other being the Elder’s Den, providing a dry spot away from the wind. The Nursery is nestled outside the Medicine Den, protected by tall stones and bound reeds. The Warriors and Apprentices’ Dens are on either side of the entrance, made of moss and seaweed. The Leader’s Den is a hollowed out tree jutting out of a cluster of stones. It’s also used by the leader to call for meetings. At the center of camp is a shallow tidepool, allowing kits to play and get used to water early.

Most of the territory consists of sandy beaches and shallow ocean waters. The cats that live along the coast often take whatever the ocean offers, be it seaweed for bedding or medical uses, fish for prey, or shells and the like for decoration. Along the west side of the territory is the river run-off, where the river flows to the sea. Beyond it is a small camp used by Twolegs during Greenleaf and early Leaf-Fall. Groups of visiting Twolegs come in monsters off the Thunderpath, build great fires and remain on the beach until midnight before returning. Beyond the sand is grassland below the Thunderpath and the cliffs overlooking the sea. The cliffs are patrolled with caution due to its steep fall.

CycloneClan

CycloneClan’s Camp is made up on the side of a small hill, bordered by thick bushes and thickets. Most of the dens consist of dug-out burrows. The Leader’s den is a dug-out hollow directly underneath the Low Stone, a flat stone where the leader makes their meetings.

CycloneClan’s territory consists of a flat valley with long grasses. CycloneClan cats have adapted to using the long grass to hide themselves during hunts or battles. East of camp is a well-known flower patch that blooms each year called The Sun Patch. It provides the medicine cat with some flowery herbs and decorations for CycloneClan cats. Additionally, CycloneClan cats know flowers attract bees, and the bravest of them follow the pollinators back to their hive to collect honeycomb for kits. Their territory stretches beyond the Thunderpath to the top of the cliffs overlooking the coast, but the territory is rarely used due to the obvious dangers. To the west is the river, where interactions with RumbleClan are common.

RumbleClan

RumbleClan Camp is made out of an eroded sinkhole. Gaps in the hard earth and thick bushes allow for dens for the nursing queens, apprentices and warriors. A ring of thickets and pine trees make it difficult to attack the camp from above the sinkhole, making it one of the most protected out of the other Clan camps.

RumbleClan territory consists of shorter grasslands, forests, and rocky terrain. The range of different areas makes for various hunting skills, with some warriors preferring the open terrain while others hunt in the undergrowth. To the northeast of camp lies the Rabbit Hills. Apprentices are taken there to learn how to hunt rabbits in the abandoned burrows, and taught how to tell if a predator has moved in. The Sun Stones are a cluster of stones near the river in the east. They make for a relaxing spot during the warmer seasons, and a good place to find small prey. Like CycloneClan, they also have a patch of territory past the Thunderpath to the south, but it is patrolled with caution.

Miscellaneous

The Gathering Tree: A tall, gnarled oak tree that stands close to the river, surrounded by stones. The Clan cats have used this place as a gathering site for generations, discussing clan news under the truce of a Full Moon.

Star’s Rest: Star's Rest is a small meteor crashsite. The meteor is still there, nestled in the earth. Cats who come to Star’s Rest press their nose against the warped stone before falling asleep close to it, where they then meet with their StarClan ancestors. The Elders share many different tales as to what the meteor is and how it got there, ranging from the meteor being a piece of the moon carved by StarClan themselves, to an exiled StarClan spirit imprisoned in stone

The Thunderpath: A long stretch of road that cuts through RumbleClan and CycloneClan’s southern territories. Monsters don’t pass by often, so cats don’t completely avoid it. However, it is no less dangerous and has taken more than one life in the past.

The Burn: The former territory belonged to BlazeClan. In its prime, it was a lush, green forest filled with undergrowth and strong trees. Perfect for BlazeClan cats, who were adept climbers and stalkers. However, a fire had mysteriously started in the forest, and spread quickly. BlazeClan was swallowed up in the flames, and all that remained were ashes. While the forest is starting to regrow in time, the damage is severe, and there will be less tree cover than there used to be. CycloneClan has been eyeing the territory as of late…

Moon 6

Moon 6
Moon 6

Cold wind whistles through the rocks Moonstar and Fogfreckle are hunched under, bringing the crisp scents of first leaf-fall. With a shiver, Moonstar presses closer to Fogfreckle for warmth, but startles back as he lets out a pained hiss. She rests her gaze on her brother for a moment, eyeing the bristled, spiky fur of his pelt that sticks up around the cobwebs she did her best to wrap him with, stiff with dried blood.

The talon marks that are sunk into his back worry Moonstar. She wishes she had listened better when she was an apprentice, when their old medicine cat, Loudtalon, had been rambling on about herbs. She doesn’t want to try mixing a poultice for her brother in case she gets it wrong; she wouldn't even know where to begin. The most she can do is change his cobwebs when the blood starts to soak through and pray to StarClan that infection doesn’t set in.

She’s been doing her best to keep his wounds clean, but he’ll need new cobwebs soon. With a heavy sigh, she rises to her paws as much as the rocks crushing in around them will allow, her shoulders brushing the ceiling. Her ears have been pinned to her head for so long now that she thinks they may get stuck that way.

Moonstar moves towards Fogfreckle to give his ear an affectionate lick before she leaves, but he ducks away from her, wincing at the movement.

Moonstar halts and pulls back, chin wobbling.

Puffing her fur against the biting wind, unseasonable for this early in leaf-fall, she squeezes her way out of their makeshift den in search of three thing: cobwebs for her brother, fresh-kill for the both of them, and someplace they can finally call home.

With Fogfreckle injured, her search is limited.

Moonstar pads across the mountain, eyes sharp for the movement of prey but mind elsewhere. Before Fogfreckle was confined to his nest to heal from the eagle attack, they were constantly on the move. So far, they haven’t found anywhere that would make for a good camp. They’ve slept in abandoned dens, up in the branches of trees, tucked under scrubbly, thorny bushes – but a place big enough for two cats to sleep is nowhere near large enough for a camp.

They will rebuild NimbusClan. StarClan decreed it – StarClan chose her as leader. It has to be for something, she has to have something, some trait or destiny or something that StarClan can see that she can’t, or they wouldn’t have chosen her. Her stomach churns uncomfortably at the thought.

Her mind strays to worse thoughts, the sharp glide of golden wings slicing through the air a constant in her mind this past moon. She can’t shake how odd it was – sure, it’s not strange that a mother would want to protect her eggs – but the way it shifted its beady black glare from Moonstar to her brother seemed tainted with something more than just a mother’s protection.

With effort, she shakes the subject from her mind and sets to canvassing this section of mountain. She doesn’t want to stray too far from where Fogfreckle is, so she’s been going out in a different direction each day in the hopes she’ll find something suitable. Today, she pokes her head into a shaded clearing of pine trees, only to be met with the blinking eyes of several racoons peering through the needles – sniffs around the opening of a fox den that smells very clearly occupied (hurrying away as quickly and silently as her paws with allow) – and shrinks back into the shadows of a leafy bush when a pair of twolegs turn a corner onto a twolegtrail, speaking loudly in their foreign tongue and likely scaring away all the prey in the area.

She only manages to catch one meager mouse – but that’s fine, because it’s Fogfreckle’s favorite, and with a cobweb-coated twig cradled carefully between her teeth, she doesn’t think she’d be able to carry more than one piece of fresh-kill at the same time, anyways.

Fogfreckle stirs as she presses back into their den, her head angled awkwardly so she can get through with the stick clamped in her jaws. He glances at her as she pushes the mouse towards him, and then looks down at his paws as she sets to working clearing the old cobwebs from his fur. She tries to be gentle, but she’s no good at this medicine cat stuff. Fogfreckle grimaces the entire time and lets his mouse go cold, not sharing a single word with his sister as she rasps a tongue over his wounds, cleaning the dried blood from his fur.

Moonstar goes to sleep when she’s done, stomach rumbling, and tries not to cry.

Ooc- what was Shadestar's warrior name in-game? :3c

Shadefoot! I imagine if things had turned out differently, she would have been given her suffix for her stealth

So I'm heavily torn with what I want to be the "Moonstone/Moonpool" for TidalClan. I originally had the idea to make it a small meteorite crash site called The Fallen Star, but I'm also tossing around ideas about a waterfall or a willow tree. any suggestions?
