I took care of THEM, they didn't need to take care me ME because I'm tough enough to go it alone…but…when I think about it, are they really badges of honor? How's that any different from you stumbling in and collapsing in the floor when you get beat? Maybe…maybe it is…I think about how I suffered alone because I was too prideful.' Yaridovich actually making Johnny rethink the context of his scars brings me life. Especially since I think Johnny sees his scars as symbols of how tough he is, of how he survived hard battles and showed true strength by living through them and going through immense pain. I don't think he's ever stopped to think about them in a different context.
