Diluc enemies to lovers but angst (fatui harbiger caught in Mondstat )

Requested by a friend of mine

Not far from mondstat you were caught in battle with a fiery red head when you went out for supplies in full fatui attire.

You had been living in mond as a spy for the fatui and you only reported what they asked of you. You know diluc from being around mond butt he doesn't know your apart of the fatui.

"Were you stationed in mondstat 4 years ago." A man who you knew of as the late Crepus Ragnivindr's son.

"Why would you want to know." You questioned, even though you knew why, as you dodged his claymore.

"My father, he was given a delusion. It was the death of him." He heaved out clearly out of breath. You used his exhaustion to your advantage and hit him in the chest, when you saw an opening, successfully knocking the air out of him.

He almost fell if he didn't use his claymore to hold himself. Without moment to spare you ran back to your house.

When you got home you looked back on the files of Crepus Ragnvindr

Waking up the next morning you decide to walk around the city of freedom.

"Your not in uniform today, y/n?" One of the two fatui that always stand by each other a floor higher that the fountain

"I have nothing to do to day, so why not." You said walking past them.

All day you were just relaxing. At the cathedral on venti's statue, cat tails bar and lastly fishing outside of the walls.

Walking back to your home with a bucket of fish feeling content with your life in mond you almost forgot about the fight that happened yesterday until you saw him.

The son of crepus outside of angels share, even though you saw him before and he didn't know you were a fatui, seeing him after yesterday would be awkward in your opinion.

But you only had to options,

"Hey Y/n- *hic* A drunk Nimrod swing his arm over your shoulder, " care for drink... I'll paaaayyyyy." You almost dropped you fish at the sudden weight put on you. He clearly had to much to drink.

You were given a chance to respond before diluc pulled him of you.

"Sorry about that Y/n, it seems he had a rough day."

"It's fine diluc." You started to walk off when he stopped you by grabbing the bucket.

"I could help you if you wanted." Without wanting to be rude, and because your hands were starting you hurt, you agreed.

The walk to your house with filled with casual conversation. You liked diluc. It was obvious for anyone to tell but him.

The only problem was that you were a fatui. You were scared he was going to kill you if he found out.

With everyday that past you were with diluc didn't matter what you were doing cause you were enjoying yourself.

It's always calm before the storm.

You decided to tell him.

"Hey diluc, what if I told you I was a fatui." You and diluc were by dawn winery picking grapes. He stopped what he was doing a looked at you.

"What do you mean."

"I'm apart of the fatui, but I'm only used for information." He couldn't look him in the eyes, you knew if he did you would be fighting back tears.

He grabbed your shoulders making you look him in the eye. "Were you here when my father was killed."

You nodded

"Did you have anything to do with it."

You shook your head.

You both stayed like that for a solid minute before he got up to leave. With his back turned, you jumped up and hugged his waist.

"I'm sorry diluc." You mumbled into his back, his hand griped the back of yours.

"I like you Y/n. But I can't... I just can't." He gentle pushed your arms off of him and walked away leaving you there watching him

Your ears dropped and your tail laid flat on the floor as you continued to listen to the maiden.

"A stray arrow from the newcomers stuck him in the side... While he is stable he is out of commission for at least a week."

Lady kokomi watched as you ran out of the room and to the resistance training grounds.

Going into the med tent you see gorou sitting up reading out of his book.

"Big brother!" You yelled running up to him and jumping of the bed he was on to hug him.

"Careful, don't squeeze too hard." Even though he was injured he had the energy to scold you, but he hugged you back anyway.

Diluc knew taking on a child wasn't easy but having to wake up in the middle of the night to a child.

You hated the waiting game

Albedo would have you stay in dragonspine while he went to Mondstat for supplies

"Alright Y/n, I'll be off. Don't leave the camp site until I come back." And with that you watched as he disappeared into the snow.

You never understood why he never took you with him

He never told you that you weren't human

You waited for what felt like hours until you decided to leave the campsite out of curiosity

At first you weren't planing on going to far but when you wanted to go back you realized you were lost

Lost and wondering through the dangerous mountains you wondered into a cave (that cave were you can feed those animals that look like ferrets)

You wanted to go back. You wished you never left.

Using albedo's teachings you made a fire and sat there.

Even with the fire the temperature of dragonspine made it feel like there was no fire at all.

"Kid... Hey kid you alright." An adventurer. They picked you up and wrapped a blanket around you.

Sitting there so long and so cold you could barely hear someone call out to you nonetheless touch you.

"I think that enough for today let's head back."

'Back? Back where' you thought but couldn't voice your questions due to the cold before losing consciousness.

You woke up in the cathedral (though you didn't know that) to a young woman at your side healing you even though it didn't do much considering you weren't human

It was freaking her out. No matter how long she healed you for nothing worked.

*with albedo*

Albedo was starting to leave Mondstat when he was the adventurers carry you wrapped in a blanket.

He followed them to the cathedral to ask what happened.

"We found the poor thing shivering by a dying fire in dragonspine. We couldn't just leave them." One of them said while the other nodded in agreement.

"Thank you for your kindness sirs." Albedo bowed his head slightly before entering the cathedral.

You had woken up at this point was it was clear to see that Barbara was relieved.

Looking around you spot albedo walking towards you and shot up.

"Hey wait you shouldn't be moving yet." Barbara protested but you just ignored her.

Running to albedo and gripping his legs as he placed a hand on your head.

"I told you not to leave the campsite." He said calmly. He was always calm but it still scared you a little.

"I'm sorry Mr. Albedo." You mumbled into his legs.

"It's fine just don't do it again."

"I won't I promise."

From then on you always played the waiting game. No matter how boring it got.

You woke up the next day still in Diluc’s arms. Usually he would be gone by now. You tried to get up but his grip was strong.

“Where do you think you’re going?” God his morning voice was enough to give you energy for a week. Diluc rolled until he was on top of you and started kissing your neck in all the right places. 

Your hands intertwined with his hair as he continues to kiss you. 

*Knock Knock Knock*

You both pulled away from each other.

“Master Diluc, My lady. It's time to get up, breakfast is downstairs and you have a meeting in mondstat, Master Diluc.” It was Adelinde.

“Thank you, Adelinde.” Diluc started, “We’ll be down in a minute.” He gave you one last kiss on the lips before getting up. He looked so grumpy. It was cute. 

Sitting up you recount the events that happened a few hours ago. For some reason this was worse than the rumors. Your fear for rumors comes and goes but this rumors fear stayed. It was like a child who sees something on TV and thinks it's real.

“Hey Diluc, how long will you be in Mondstat?” 

“Not long. Why?”

“Just asking”

During breakfast you acted the way you would normally, ignoring the feeling that spread through your body whenever Adelinde was near.

"I'll be setting off. See you when I get back Y/n." Diluc walked over to you a kissed you on the cheek as he heading out.

You could only watch him go.

Most of the day was spent out of the manor near the grapes. You loved sitting on the ground doing (any hobbies) while occasionally eating grapes.

Sitting there completely wrapped in what you were doing you were unaware of the maid who kept a close eye on you until Moco and Hillie came up to you.

"My lady, would you mind helping us gather mushrooms, we seemed to have missed counted when we were out earlier." You were about to answer when you were interrupted by someone on the other side of you.

"Why not ask me. Seeing as you miscounted the first time, having some supervision will do you good." Adelinde had her arms crossed not even trying to hide her annoyed tone at the 2.

"We have to go deep in the forest ms. Adelinde. My lady has her vision if something goes wrong." Moco lied. Diluc hired maids that can take care of themselves in dangerous situations even without a vision.

You guess Adelinde didn't know this cause she let you go.

In the forest the 3 if you were picking mushrooms when Hillie decided to break the silence.

"My lady, she was staring at you. Did you do something to Adelinde." She was clearly worried and so was Moco.

"Not that I know of. Aside from that thing last night." You assumed Hillie knew what happened cause her and Moco are always together. She knew.

"Adelinde was acting weird this morning. Before she woke you and master Diluc she was talking to herself in the corner and making weird hand gesters-" Moco cut Hillie off dropping the basket of mushrooms and grabbing you hands "little knocks on the walls. I think she heard us my lady cause she was watching me too."

You pulled her into a hug. She had every right to be freaked out, especially when she lived with the it for years.

"It's probably just the rumors getting to you. You worked with Adelinde for years and nothing happened before, right? Everything will be fine." It felt that what you were saying was more for you than for Moco.

The feeling of someone watching you never left, even in the forest.

Rumors

Based on the rumors that Adelinde is a cannibal

Diluc x reader

Even before you moved into the manor you knew about the secret room from the maids, however you never knew the location and when you asked Adelinde about it she said ‘some secrets are better left in the dark.’ followed by a chuckle and ‘sorry it's fun to keep people on their toes but sadly i don’t know either’. 

When you moved in you paid closer attention to adelinde’s behavior, seeing her interactions with the other maids, talking to herself at night in a corner of the manor, and her bringing in guests that don’t seem to come out. The last one you can’t prove but the others sent chills up your spine. 

Seeing as it hasn’t been too long since you moved in you didn’t wanna cause any problems and kept your conversations with Diluc about private. But one night you woke up to a loud bang. 

Shooting up from the bed you turn over to Diluc to see him still sound asleep. Slowly getting up so you don’t wake him, you go down to where you heard the sound. Walking through the manor you still hear the banging but not as loud as the first one. With every step you took your heart was beating out of your chest. Rounding the corner you were met with Moco.

“MY LADY! *ahem* my lady, what are you doing up this late?” Moco was still in her maid outfit while you were in your night clothes. She looked scared so you decided to not beat around the bush.

“I heard a noise, I’m guessing you did too.” Moco sighed in relief and nodded her head. 

“I'm glad I wasn't the only one. It's coming from over there but I don’t know exactly where.” Looking to where she pointed you see nothing out of the ordinary. Just a corner of the manor.

“That's strange, do you think it’s outside.” You said now facing the door with Moco at your side.

“Should we go see?” She asks. You nod.

It was a beautiful night at the dawn winery, there were crystal flies fluttering about and the grapes were in full bloom. You made a note to pick them tomorrow. 

The scenery aside, you and Moco go to the corner adjacent to the one inside. 

Nothing.

No sound. Nothing strange nearby. 

You and Moco go back inside to see Adelinde with a feather duster in her hand with her back turned toward the both of you. Turning around she had a slight smile on her face.

“My lady, Moco, what are you both doing out there, you both are shivering?” She said with concern in her voice while walking up to you feeling your hands. “You're freezing. My lady, please wait here.” With that she disappeared from site. Quickly coming back with a blanket and wrapping it around you.

“Thank you, Adeline. You are too kind.” You praised her as you started to go back to your room.

“So… what were you doing outside?” She said looking between the both of you. That scared you. Looking back at her you see you staring at you intensely. It was like a predator watching its prey.

Luckily for you, you were able to come up with something quick. “I couldn’t sleep and thought a walk would be able to tire me out, shamefully I was too scared to go on my own so Moco came with me.” You chuckled so did Moco. 

Adelinde looked a bit in thought before she joined in with a chuckle, “Very well then, good night.”

Saying your goodnights to the two you speed walked to your husbands room and gently shook him awake.

“Y/n.. what's the matter, love?” Diluc slowly sat up to cradle your face in his hands. 

“Diluc, is there a secret room?” You and diluc had this conversation before but the answer was never clear.

“There were always rumors about a secret room. I never had the chance to look into them. What happened?” He was rubbing your face with his thumbs as you took a deep breath. 

“Maybe it was just the rumors getting to me but Adelinde is kind of suspicious. There were sounds coming from down stairs. Me and Moco were trying to find them when we saw Adelinde cleaning around where the sounds were coming from.” You missed some details but you couldn't think of a way to say it all with the way your heart was pumping. 

“Maybe she dropped something when she was cleaning.” He tried to reason but seeing your face he pulled you under the covers and on to his chest.

“The rumors are most likely just rumors. Don't let it go to your head.” He said rubbing you back as you wrapped your arms around him. He laid down on his back still holding you. 

You felt safe in his arms. kissing his collarbone, you start to drift of to sleep.

“Yeah it was probably all in my head.”

unbeknownst to your Adelinde was listening.

"Mr. Xiao!" The traveler and Paimon watched as you called out to the yaksha from the balcony of Wangshu Inn

"What do you want, Y/n." A voice said startling the traveler and Paimon but not you.

You ran to Xiao and hugged his legs.

"The traveler and Paimon wanted to meet you." Xiao looked up at the two forigen body's with an unchanging expression.

"I have no business with you mortals." And this that xiao picked you up and you both disappeared.

You didn't go far. Just to a near by mountain.

"That wasn't very nice, they only wanted to talk." You puffed out your cheeks while sitting on his lap.

He pushed you away

"I do not wish to be wrapped in mortals business. I have demons to slay."

"What about me then?"

"You are not human, you are not a demon, you are an adepti." Xiao stated mater of factly while pushing your hair out of your eyes.

The wind was gently and calming although it looked like a peaceful scene both were deep in thought about the traumatic history of the adepti.

"Xiao who is that? They said your name." Yanfei questioned but Xiao had an uncharacteristic look of shock before turning to them.

"He was the dendro yaksha. He never liked attention so he also hid when humans were they were near. During the destruction of khanreha he lost his mind and went into hiding."

Xiao talked about you in the same way he talked about bosacious. He loved the memories he shared with you but all good things come to an end.

But the end was not quite there yet. Just a bump in the road.

"I know who he is, the phantom yaksha. He helped from the shadows and saved any human he could." Yelan said causing Xiao to nod.

"I wonder where he went." Paimon looked to aether who was looking at Xiao.

There was a moment of silence before the sky darkened as a pained scream erupted from behind Xiao.

Turning around Xiao saw you on the ground with your (choice of weapon) on the ground next to you while you were squeezing your neck in pain.

"Y/n." Your head shot up at the sound with a look of fear.

"Xiao?" Your face didn't change in fact your breathing quickened. "I'm tired of these illusions. Just go AWAY." You broke down in sobs

"I'm not an illusion. I promise you I'm real." He inched closer not expecting you to jump into his arms.

You both started to fall back if it wasn't for the vines that wrapped around the both of you. Tightening the hug.

"I missed you so much. I hope your real." You mumbled into his chest.

"I'm real I promise." He wrapped his arms around you as the vines slowly set him down.

"The phantom yaksha." A high pitched voice said causing you to look up at 3 people and 1 floating child (I don't know to to describe paimon)

The voice shocked you and because you not used to being around people for so long you tried to teleport away but the strain of trying to use your powers caused you to pass out.

You woke up you saw the sky. You haven't seen it in so many years. It was a beautiful sight.

You looked around realizing he wasn't there.

"Xiao" you said it so quietly you could bearly hear yourself. Tears rolled down you cheeks as you kneeled to the ground in a prayer position.

"Please don't... It's been so long (since last I seen my son~)." You cried not noticing the yaksha suddenly appear.

"Y/n" you didn't look to the sound this time. You thought the chasm was making another illusion.

"Y/n it's me." You felt a hand on your head as you slowly looked up to see Xiao with the traveler behind him.

Through the shock you didn't care that the traveler was there and jumped into xiao arms.

"Don't scare me like that." You cried into his shoulder. He hasn't changed a bit and you liked it that way.

"I can't control it anymore. I DON'T WANT TO HURT ANYONE ELSE." You ran behind the portal before anyone could stop you.

When out of sight the vines disappeared.

Yelan was hot on your tail but when going behind the portal was your body entangled into the ground on your back.

The sight barely shocked her as she called the others over.

"Is he DEAD." Paimon screamed taking refuge behind aether/lumine.

"Yes" Xiao said simply. Taking your body of the roots he held you tight.

"What is he to you? You seem close to him." Yelan was very observant with the few time they saw the phantom yaksha and Xiao.

It took a minute before he answered. "He is equivalent to what humans call a significant other."

No other words were shared as he put you on his back to take you to the surface.

*tiny time skip*

Once at the surface he took the traveler to pervacies resting place.

"I want to bury him here. I also wanted to take a rock in memory of bosacious but the rock did not make it."

The memories came flooding back.

You and him we on a mountain not far from the other yaksha.

"Xiao why do you have to so cynical all the time." You chucked. Placing a hand to his cheek. "I'm not. I'm simply saying I would die for you."

You had a deep blush on your face, placing you hands on your hips and turning away.

"That's what I mean. You don't have to protect me cause I'll be the one to protect you." It was his turn to blush. You laughed and hugged him.

"Xiao if something every happens to me.... Just know that I love you." He pulled away from the hug and kissed you.

"I love you too Y/n."

He missed you along with the other yaksha and it hurt him that he was the only was still alive.

After burying you a beautiful tree sprouted from the ground. It's leaves had different colors and elements in them.

When people touched them they heard voices of laughter or small visions of their lost loved ones, but for Xiao they held the memories of the fallen yakshas.

Even in death you wanted to show people happyness.

You could barely remember it

But you remembered Dainsleif. How could you forget your first love.

But your memory was waisting away and it was getting harder to hold on to the memories you had.

In the chasm you felt at peace but it was making you lose yourself. Sitting with your legs to your chest and your head resting on them, deep in thought of what you thought was going to be your last moments.

"Y/n?" A voice broke your from you misery but only for a moment.

'I remember that voice.....but where from.' You thought not looking to see, thinking it was just in your head.

"Y/n!" This time in was a little closer but you still didn't look.

Thats when a hand reached out and touched your cheek ever so slightly but it still caused you to jolt back.

Your eyes widened at the man in front of you. "D-dainsleif?" Your voice was dry and horse but you didn't care.

You quickly wrapped your arms around the man's neck.

"It's good to see you too, my dear." He said wrapping his arms around your waist, whispering into your ear.

You were crying.

It was the first time in a while since you felt this way.

"I'm sorry you've been by yourself for this long and here of all places." He said kissing your cheek.

"I'm just happy to see you. I would've waited another 500 years if it meant I could see you." You leaned back getting a good look at him.

He was still the man you loved. You both leaned into a passionate kiss. One that told all the feelings in the time that you were split apart.

Pulling away you sighed and put your head on his chest listening to the relaxing beat of his heart.

"I love you dain."

"I love you too, y/n."

Lady kokomi decided to give you a day off cause the week had been relatively calm and you took it without question.

So you went to see... ITTO!

You and Itto were in the forest looking for Onikabuto beetles when You got distracted.

You saw a fox run past you and you decided to follow it.

"Wait up Mr. Fox" You cried out to which the fox stopped for a second to look back at the boy then continued on his way.

It was almost as if the fox was leading him somewhere.

The boy ran until he was tired and when he stopped so did the fox.

When he caught he breathe was looked up to see the fox right in front of his face. He jumped back in surprise and so did the fox.

"Wait I didn't mean to scare you Mr. Fox." The fox turned away and started to run again but not before catching a glowing bug and eating it. The fox had markings the glowed after eating the bug.

It looked so pretty. The pretties fox you'd ever seen

You started to run again but was picked up by mystery hands.

"Why'd you run off lil bud."

It was itto.

"I was following a fox." You pointed in the direction you were about to go.

Itto looked all around in confusion before putting you on his shoulders.

"C'mon lil guard I still have to find an Onikabuto to beat yours." He boasted tilting his head back making you grab his horns so you wont fall.

"Really we've been at this all day and not once have you beat me. I'll remain undefeated 76 to 0." You shot back. As Itto walked to a different spot to find "better" beetles, you looked back to the fox sitting while still glowing.

"Heyyy don't under estimate me, I'll win just you wait." Itto whined, snapping you out of your graze. "whatever you say" You mumble out slowly moving your gaze from the fox to in front of you.

The day continued as Itto kept losing and the score was now 156 to 0. For like the fifth time Itto suggested going to find more beetles.

On you way to get more beetles (for Itto to lose with) You saw the glowing bug. Forgetting all about the beetles you went to get the bug and promptly ate it.

"Whatcha munchin' on bud." A voice said over your shoulder

"NotHIng." Your voice cracked as you jumped back in surprise. I up at Itto behind you, you see the sun starting to go down. Fearing a scolding from Gorou and Itto's prying nature you say "Ihavetoyousorry" and run off before itto could say anything else.

Getting home and in bed was no problem, Not even with Gorou's protectiveness

Laying in bed you couldn't sleep. Not cause you weren't tired but because you weren't feeling well, but eventually you went to sleep after seeing a siloute of a fox turn into a woman.

When you woke up you were sick.

You were always protective of lady kokomi. You would always be around her under gorou's order and she didn't mind because you gave her 'energy points'.

Today was the day the traveler came they were accompanied by Teppei. You had knew him from when you were with Gorou counting supplies. He had asked if you needed help you said no but that didn't stop his will to do anything even if the task was as small as counting.

You weren't really listening to what was being said when your name was called.

"Y/n" Kokomi said putting a hand on your head as she always did. "Do you wanna greet the traveler? They're the one who helped end the vision hunt decree." You looked up at her to see her smiling down at up then you looked over to the traveler.

"Hello, my name is Y/n and I am a member of the resistance. Thank you for your help in the vision hun decree." You had said it just how Gorou taught you bowing your head and everything.

"THIS KID IS IN THE RESISTANCE." You heard a high pitched voice and saw the floating person shaking the travelers arm. They both were reasonably shocked.

"Yes although he doesn't fight he helps keep up moral and smaller tasks that the others don't want to do." Kokomi explained "back to the matter at hand, sword fish 2 you said?... " you zoomed out again. You really didn't notice them leave until kokomi picked you up and rested you on her hip as she started walking.

"I have to do a lot of work to do this the resistance, but before that let's relax a bit." She carried you to her hide out before putting you down.

You liked the place it reminded you of the resistance training area.

You and kokomi sit outside the Hideout on the cliff looking out at the beautiful watasumi island.

"Lady kokomi, how come were fighting with the Shogun." Gorou had told you it was because the vision hunt decree. You didn't understand and kokomi didn't know how to answer

"I... Um we disagree with her reasoning is all. We are trying to make her see her decision to take visions away is hurting and not helping." You hummed and asked another question.

"Why don't you just talk to her." This one was an easier question.

"The Shogun is kinda stubborn and it's hard to s we her face to face." You looked deep about to ask another question but she started talking before you could.

"I want you to see how the traveler is doing while I take care of something, okay." you nodded and watched as she walked off.

You didn't know where to start so you went to find Gorou.

You found him on the outskirts of Watasumi island with 2 guards beside him. Before he could see you, you snuck up behind him putting a finger to your lips as the guards turn to look at you.

"BIG BROTHER" You jumped on his tail causing him to try to turn around to get you put you let go and ran around him laughing.

"M/n stop it." He tried to grabbed you but instead you stuck yourself to his back.

"Lady kokomi wants me to find the traveler." You said wrapping your arms around his neck giggling.

Hearing the guards try to stiffel their laughs caused Gorou to glare at them, shutting them up immediately.

"I thought you would know where they are." You said as Gorou unwrapped your arms from his neck and set you down.

"We're done Gorou. Hey look it's the little guard dog."

Side note: for the people waiting for a change of pace update I'm sorry. Im going to rewrite it cause I don't like it.

Gorou x male child reader

"Get well soon." Paimon in said as her and the traveler left to do commissions leaving gorou to look after M/n.

For the past week M/n has been bedridden after eating a Beatle in the forest. How he got the Beatle we'll never know.

Gorou re dampened the cloth on M/n's head. M/n whined pushing his ears back as gorou pressed the now cold towel on his head.

"You shouldnt eat random bugs. Why'd you do that anyway." Gorou might've sounded mad but he wasn't and M/n couldn't tell from the way that he brought the covers close to his face and avoided eye contact.

"I wanted to see what it tastes like." The little boy responded with his ears pressed to his head still not making eye contact. "And I saw a fox eating one"

'A fox' gorou thought as he looked at his little brother in confusion "what does that have to do with?"

M/N didn't respond and instead pretended like he was asleep to which he received a wet towel to the face.

"Don't ignore people it's rude." The general huffed out to still be met with silence. Getting up from her spot on the bed he went to leave the room. "If your asleep I guess I'll get back to work." He raised his voice a little to make sure you heard as he slowing walked through the fabric of the tent.

"Wait I wanna help." M/n jumped up from bed and ran to his brother wrapping his arms around his legs to try to hold him in place.

Gorou laughed and took the blanket off the bed m/n was on and wrapped it around him while picking him up. "You can come with me as long as you don't do much."

The boy had a big smile on his face for the rest of the day and woke up fully recovered.

Guard dog series

nickname: kokomi's guard dog

The soldiers had given you that name because for one you were a shiba hybrid being gorou's younger sibling and second you were hardly ever seen without kokomi.

Like today Kokomi had sen you off to deliver a letter to the Tenryou commission and by the archons you were going to deliver it no matter what was gonna get in the way.

First obstacle: Your brother

"here take this." Gorou made 4 rice balls for you and giving you rules since you where leaving for the day. You gladly took the rice balls and tried to tun off before he could give you a lecture but he grabbed you by the back of your shirt.

"Not so fast. Don't get sidetracked and don't get all of them in one go you'll get a tummy ache." he started " Don't wonder off so much after you deliver the letter. I'm giving 100 mora to buy a treat or you can keep it if you want and finally be back by nightfall." He finished the lecture by ruffling your hair and pushing out of his tent.

And now your journey begins.

you had gotten a boat to narukami island, waving off to the sailor and thanking him as you continued your way to the Tenryou commissions headquarters.

Second obstacle: distractions

Walking into Inuzuma the first thing you see is Yoimiya outside her fathers shop entertaining kids. You started to walk over but stopped before the first steps shaking your head. 'no i can't stop now i have to deliver the letter.' you thought as you started to walk again.

"Hey, Y/n I haven't seen you in a while. The resistance keeping you busy huh?." Yoimiya said walking up to you with kids your age following.

"Hello, yep very busy. I was told to not get distracted so im sorry but i have to go." You wanted to stay a bit longer but you were told this was very important and to deliver the letter as fast as you could.

"Aw thats a shame well at least take these, we can light them the next time you come by." She gave you sparklers and a firework. You gladly took them and gave her a rice ball. You waved her off as you started on your way again.

"Hey guard dog!" You heard turning your head to see Itto. You tried walking faster but he got to you quickly walking in front of you to pick you up by your arms.

"Hey, where are you off to little bud." He said holding you to his side as he started walking in the same direction that you were going.

"To the Tenryou commission I-"

"woah woah hold up why are you going there."

"To deliver something for lady kokomi." You squiggled in his arms to be put down which he did. "I would love to stay but I have to go for now." You saluted him off as he said you could visit the gang whenever you were free.

You would've wanted to stay longer. You liked itto and his gang's company but they were to much of a distraction from your job.

You had to stay on track.

Obstacles overtaken

Finally making it to the tenryo commission you successfully delivered the letter when you ran into Thoma. Literally.

"Oh sorry about that." He pulled you up and brushed you off. "Couldn't see ya there."

"Hello Mr. Thoma. It's alright I'm fine."

"Oh it's you, Y/n. It's funny running into you here all by yourself." He said rubbing your ears.

"Yep I was sent by lady Kokomi to deliver a letter. I'm on my way back."

"Oh well before you go would you like come with me to the tea house I have something for you." You thought for a little while before agreeing.

Making it to the tea house Thoma lifted you to one of the stols in front of the bar and told you to wait there while he got your gift.

While waiting you decided to take out the 3 remaining rice balls giving one to Taroumaru, you ate one and planned to give the last one to Thoma.

Thoma came out with his hands behind his back. Coming up to you with a big smile on his face.

"Tada!" Thoma pulled out a back pack that matched your outfit. "Everytime I see you, you have a tattered bag so I thought you could use a new one."

You grabbed it hugging it to your chest. "Thank you Mr. Thoma. Your sewing looks perfecional." You look at him with stars in your eyes.

"Don't mention it it's the least I could do for someone who so young yet works so hard." You hopped off the chair giving him a hug and a rice ball.

You see the sun through one of the windows starting to go down. You having off to him as you run to the shores to find a boat.

Luckily you found one and got back to go round and Kokomi in time.

"Did you deliver the letter." Asked Kokomi kneeling down to your height putting a hand on your head. You nodded.

You are a quiet child for the most part, always watching and listening but never saying anything. The people referred to you as 'the ghost of the kamisato clan' but you didn't mind.

You are the youngest kamisato sibling, you go where ever they go but today you were left with Thoma.

"Alright y/n you have to let go now." Ayato was struggling to pry you off of him so he can go to his meeting. Ayaka was already out on business and you didn't want to be left 'alone'.

"Y/n let go." Ayato was more stern this time as you held tighter squeezing your eyes shut.

After a few more minutes of struggling Thoma came in to see why ayato hasn't left already.

The two making eye contact and seeming like they could reader each other's minds Thoma immediately went to help.

It ended with you in tears while Thoma was trying to calm you down as you both watch Ayato hurry to his meeting.

"Hey it'll be okay. He'll be back before you know it and you'll get to spend the day with me can't be so bad can it." He akwardly chuckled as he started walking out of the kamisato estate to the tea house.

On the way there Thoma had to pick up some supplies. So you two walked hand in hand.

First stop: fabric store

"Hello again Thoma, what would you like." The store lady smiled warmly at Thoma.

"Well... " Thoma was looking around at all the different fabrics when an light bulb went off. He turned to you gently pushing you in front of him.

"Why don't you pick for me." Seeing you the woman gasped.

"Oh I'm sorry mx. Y/n I didn't see you there, please pick anyone you like." You nodded at her and started your search.

You picked a f/c and (pattern type) fabric ang Thoma grabbed it getting ready to negotiate price but the woman spoke before he could.

"It's on the house. It's the least I could do for what you and the kamisato clan has done for me." She bowed as you and Thoma walked out.

Second stop: iron worker

Walking up to the man banging on metal you looked around at all the different weapons though Thoma grabbed you hand so you wouldn't get to curious as to touch.

"Hello I'm here to pick up lady ayaka's order." The worker turned around at the sound of thoma's voice and pointed to a tied up sack.

"She already paid." His voice was rough but he didn't sound mean but you still hid behind Thoma as he got the sack and left.

Final stop: food stand

Thoma wanted to reward you for walking around all day without putting up a fuss so he bought you dango.

You two sat in the shade of a tree while eating

"See a day with me wasn't so bad was it." He patted your head as you ate. You looked up to him smiling and nodding in agreement.

"Thank you" you said quietly as you hugged him. He hugged back. Tightly.

*tiny time skip*

Thoma had taken you to the tea house where he told you to wait in the front cause he had a surprise for you.

Your time waiting was spent on playing with taroumaru while the dog seemed unbothered by your rather hard petting.

"Y/n it's ready." You bolted towards Thoma throwing the door open.

It was a yukata with the fabric you chose plus some jewelry (whatever kind or something else entirely) made from shiny gem stones.

"It's for you." Thoma said as you walked over to see the items better.

*Another time skip*

You were now wearing the yukata sleeping on thoma's lap as ayaka and ayato came back from their meetings.

The only problem now is that you won't let go of Thoma.

if you can’t be bothered to tag your fics right, don’t bother posting them at all. it’s not fun to scroll through one specific tag and find a million fics that just don’t belong there. it’s already hard enough to find male!reader content anywhere—you don’t have to take the small space that we do have away from us too by tagging fem!reader fics with male!reader, which you do just to get more reads. and it might end up giving you a few more readers, but the feedback will ultimately be bad. we’ve complained about this so fucking much already and i’m sick and tired of people having to practically beg for a space on this platform. it’s so fucking annoying. i understand that sometimes you accidentally click on the wrong tag or don’t read it correctly and that can happen and that’s fine, but at least check the tags before / after you’ve posted????

also, if you tag your fic as gn!reader, then i don’t wanna see any fucking gender specific pronouns or any indication of whether the reader is a male or female. take that shit out and keep it away from that piece of writing, it doesn’t fucking belong there. you know how many times i’ve started reading something that was tagged as gn!reader and then later on realized that the author has been referring to the reader with “she/her”? stop it. if you wanna write fem!reader then do that. if you wanna write gn!reader, then check if you haven’t accidentally used she/her or he/him somewhere before you post it. it’s not that fucking hard.

Fool me Once (Part 7 - FINAL) Arataki Itto x fem!reader [Angst to Comfort]

Summary: In a change of heart, you offer Arataki Itto a job carrying boxes of ingredients for your father’s ramen shop. He really seems to need the mora anyway. Itto has no bad intentions, but he tends to forget that he has a job to do now, getting carried away by the kids and sometimes even his competitions with Yoimiya. Still, you persist and trust that he can do his job properly, until it all goes wrong when a band of ronin attack you while you’re alone with the shipments waiting for Itto to show up.

The day after the whole incident, Itto went running to Granny Oni. In front of the only parental figure he had, he was diminished into a small puppy crying waterfall of tears. 

Granny Oni only chuckled as she continued to stir the pot of special porridge she was making.

After the incident, Itto brought you to Thoma to get checked. As much as Itto didn’t like the guy, he had to admit that Thoma was better at assessing injuries and such. So he forgot about his oni pride, wanting to make sure that you were, in fact, alright and not in any immediate danger.
