"what are we ?"
you had loved Keith, always have but maybe it was time for you to move on, after all you're simply teammates.
And now, here you were standing by the doorway as you watched Keith talking with Lance, bickering as usual of course.
Keith turned away from Lance with a huff visibly finally having enough of their endless argument listening to Lance protest against his actions and walks over to the doorway, Y/N spins around so that her back hits the wall, hidden from his sight as he walks by, she holds her breath only resuming once he's far down the hall.
He stops in his tracks and turns around arching his brow at the sight of her attempt at stealth
'' I hope you're aware I can hear you, what's going on, Y/N ''
She looks at him slightly embarrassed at how straightforward he was as she looks around for an excuse before spotting Lance, her gaze flickering back and forth between the two guys
'' I just um, needed to speak to Lance ''
Keith looks at her then at Lance with the slightest bit of resentment only to lower his gaze with a frown and walking away
'' right, Lance ''
She keeps her eyes on him as her confused gaze followed his every movement, was he jealous? she thought before shaking her thoughts away and walking towards the main control room in the castle
" hey, Y/N! "
She jumps at the sudden contact as her back bumps into someone before spinning around briskly to look at them, oh right Lance is still here..
...
I finally got away from him, I had forgotten how talkative the paladin is.. she thought as roamed the halls with no seeming destination anyway. As her eyes scanned through the floor tiles she met a familiar pair of boots who stopped right in front of her, she looks up to meet Keith's eyes who were already locked onto hers
"can I help you?.."
she barked out nervously as his gaze pierced through her heart making her breath seemingly unsteady.
"did you mean it?"
she looked at him in confusion at his sudden question
"mean what?"
She asked tilting her head, his patience was visibly running thin as he grabbed her by the collar making her squeak as he shoved her into the wall
"don't act dumb, Y/N. I'm talking about Lance, how you needed to speak to him, nervously hiding behind the wall squirming like some kind of fangirl, it was pathetic really."
He said venom dripping from his words as he spat the most hurtful words he could muster up in the moment his gaze full of desperation which coudn't be missed from how he grabbed her jaw forcing her to look into his eyes.
She sighs searching for any sign of attraction in his gaze before placing her hand on his wrist
"Keith, what are we?"
He looks at her confused, his eyebrow arching as he searches through her gaze and loosens his hand before dropping it and backing away slightly, pausing for a second
"we're friends Y/N, you know this."
She looks down with a saddened expression still her smile never falters as she walks away from him
"that's what I thought."

Voltron actor AU where everything’s the same but Voltron is a live-action TV show and the paladins are actors:
Their names are the same in real life. They go by different names in the show.
Keith and Lance still have a “rivalry.” Red and Blue didn’t originally have it, but when the cast first met and the directors saw how Keith and Lance interacted, they wanted to write it in.
Shiro’s arm is still a prosthetic, although the scar is fake.
sometimes the makeup crew forgets the scar. literally no one notices until it’s the end of filming
“Shiro…” “Huh?” “…they forgot the sca–” “are yOU FUC–”
Shiro, Keith, Lance, Hunk, and Allura all do their own stunts.
Pidge is only 17 and their mom won’t sign the waiver for them to do their own stunts.
No one really knows how their little production company was able to afford hiring Allura, who’s a big time actress and super talented.
they eventually find out that she’s a giant mecha/space nerd and came to /them/ asking for a role and willing to do it for free
No one really knows if Coran has a script or if he was told to just say whatever
Lance calls Keith “Red” so often that Keith thinks Lance has forgotten his name
he hasn’t.
The paladins, Allura, Coran, and basically all the actors boycott after season 2, demanding retribution for the way they wrote Hunk and Lance’s characters.
Hunk has an engineering degree in real life.
Matt isn’t Pidge’s real life brother, but when they first meet it goes something like: “baby sister!” “big brother!” and they end up inseparable.
Pidge’s mother is known for calling Pidge at work just to talk to her son, Matt
Hunk and Shay’s on-screen chemistry was actually a real thing. Shay was cast at the same time that she was working in the costume/design department, so they’d known each other since the show started.
they’re dating now
Every time Lance’s character hits on Allura’s on-screen Lance spends five minutes defending Blue’s character after filming
“he just craves attention, okay? he just wants love!! he’s smart and beautiful and wants to belonG”
despite this, Lance is basically his character minus that shoddy writing in season 2
Keith and Lance have their own shipping fanbase. It starts out with just their characters, but then Some Mysterious Person starts taking candids between sets and posting them online and klance is born
it’s Pidge. Pidge runs five fan accounts.
the pictures are super incriminating, but no one shows them to Lance or Keith
there’s a betting pool on when they’ll get together
Keith gets super into his roles and ends up genuinely upset after filming the scenes where the princess reacts badly to Red being part Galra.
Allura gives him a 15 minute hug after
Bonding Moment Discourse is actually a thing. There was a prop malfunction on set while they were filming and the directors told them to stay put, so Lance ended up being Cradled for a solid half hour.
later, they find out that they could’ve moved and just chilled for that time, instead of actually holding each other.
“I get it Keith, I get it. You just wanted to hold me. Who doesn’t amiright??”

Unpopular opinion but.....
I stand with my last post but I also just want to say that I am not here for any of the hate the cast, crew and writers are getting. If the show didn’t end how you wanted it to then yeah that sucks for you but those people worked really hard to produce a product that they felt was best for everyone, including the storyline. I personally am slightly let down by the ending but that in NO way gives me the right to give the creators and VA’s death threats. Yeah people are getting DEATH THREATS! that’s crazy! All those lives worked day after day to produce something for you! And because the show ended in a way you don’t like you are going to unnecessarily hate on them? This post isn’t directed to anyone in particular and please don’t take this personally if you are let down by the ending because there is nothing wrong with that. This post is for those in the fandom that seem to have taken things to far. This show is important and has meaning and I understand that but so do the lives of the people behind the screen! Let’s try to be kind! We should be grateful for the beautiful ride we got to experience through this show! Spread kindness, please.
Season 8
Okay, I’m not upset that Allurance happened bc there is nothing wrong with that ship, it just bugs me bc throughout the show they literally had no chemistry. Up until season 7 Allura didn’t show ANY interest in Lance which is why I’m slightly bothered. You know who has had character developments and arcs together. Keith and Lance. Just saying. They were always linked in some way or another throughout the whole series. They were rivals and then friends and then each other’s support. They have grown a lot together. I understand that Allura was a lesson in love for Lance but I feel like the writers kind of used her in a way. Idk, like I’m happy with how things ended but, Lance and Allura just felt somewhat off to me. But idk, what are your thoughts??
Have some klance in your dash people! At this point I don’t know if klance will become official but a shipper can dream right?

I was so much more invested in the midseason's (like episodes 5, 6 and 7) events than the finale's like I went through all of number 11/12 thinking WAIT BUT I actually don't care
