Okay I’m not totally sure why I wrote this, but what if Leo didn’t make it when Mikey pulled him out of the portal? What would his future self say to him?

I was working on a different one-shot about his dying goodbye to April but it got WAY TOO SAD and I couldn’t finish it, hehe 😅 Maybe someday I’ll work up the emotional courage, but today is not that day lol!

Yay, I’ve finally done it! I’ve finally figured out the plot line to the Crescent’s Ascent all the way to the ending! It’s gonna be a bumpy ride, but we’re gonna get there and I’m SO EXCITED for what’s to come! 😆 The ending is gonna be AWESOME!!! (At least in my opinion lol)

SUMMARY:

When Big Mama poisons Leo and causes him to lose his memory, chaos ensues as she strives to convince him that she is his mother. What started out as an attempt at a new Nexus champion quickly spirals into an unhealthy obsession, and Big Mama will do anything to make sure her precious Crescent never even wants to leave.

Meanwhile the brothers search frantically for their leader in blue, but will they be too late? Will they be able to find Leo and restore his memory before he is too far gone? After all, there are already things Leo has been hiding…

Headcanon that even though Donnie is bad with feelings/physical touch, his brothers still seek him out for comfort because he's always there for them.

Leo wants to talk with someone about the argument he just had with Raph? Well, Donnie might be a bit awkward with emotions, but he's sure a good listener. He gives very honest advice; he'll tell Leo when he needs to go apologise, but he doesn't judge Leo or pry on the situation. Donnie's very calm about everything, and Leo gets very comfy just confiding in him about things.

Raph needs to not be alone because Savage Raph is acting up? Donnie is consistently in his lab. Sure, Donnie kicks his brothers out a lot, but that's mostly when Leo drops by to annoy him. Raph doesn't annoy Donnie, he doesn't necessarily want any kind of touch or special attention. He just needs to be around someone sometimes, and Donnie is perfectly fine to provide that.

Mikey is anxious/worried about something? Donnie is great at rationalizing stuff! He can and will spend twenty minutes explaining why the things Mikey is anxious about will never happen. Plus, Donnie is... surprisingly good at managing stress? His "data collection" is basically just an easy way for him to ground himself. Donnie has little tricks for when things get Too Much, and Mikey starts to pick up on these habits/use them to make himself feel better.

At first, I think Donnie is kinda oblivious to this, but once he realizes what's happening, he starts leaning into it? Like, he starts paying more attention when Leo wants to talk with him about stuff, instead of constantly dismissing his brother. He notices that Raph will come to his lair nearing a Savage episode, so he sets aside simple tasks for Raph to distract himself and feel useful. He realizes that Mikey is imitating him, so he keeps track of which coping mechanisms Mikey finds helpful.

Just... Donnie supporting his family, in his own way.

Well. It's been exactly one year since I started this comic. Which is pretty impressive for my tiny attention span. This is the biggest of my stories and I'm so damn proud (and surprised) that I was able to finish it haha

Its really my favorite cartoon series of all time and there is SO MUCH I COULD SAY ABOUT IT THAT IT FEELS OVERWHELMING

The art style is literally my favorite art style ever and even as a kid I just know that it would’ve also been my favorite. The blocky yet detailed characters are so cool and OH MY GOD THE COLOR SCHEMES GSKSHS I love them so much. I could just eat that art style UP, MAN. You have NO IDEA how drastically it has affected my current art style.

The different character designs are so different yet fit them perfectly. Even thought they don’t all look the same, none of them are actually ugly and when you think about it, thats not always the case in media (what I mean is that when a character doesn’t conform to the classic protagonist look, they’re usually pretty caricatured and usually even ugly :/)

I also love the humour and the writing jdldhdm the jokes just jeep on getting better and you can TELL that the writers are having fun with it (thats my favourite feeling in the world)

And the voice acting??? Hello??? I love it????

Animation and writing wise, you can tell that it was a passion project. Until I realised that the show was un-officially cancelled, I was seriously wondering HOW a show with such detailed HAND-ANIMATED animation could survive. Even though it has been cancelled, just knowing that it could even EXIST gives me hope in the future generations of animation (in which I will hopefully be WORKING IN)

Although i was sure the show could never last long I’m SO MAD THAT THEY COULDNT GIVE IT THE ENDING IT DESERVED AGHHHHGDKDGDJDH it’s incredibly frustrating and it had so much potential. It was supposed to be only 3 seasons too😭😭😭 with the story, they could’ve honestly gone for 5 to 6 seasons, they were just being humble istg.

Anyways, sorry for the rant but I could say SO MUCH more and I just HAD to get some out, if you’ve read this far, I genuinely hope you have a wonderful day and thank you💖

Since my cat and other cats headbutt people when they want attention/show that they love someone, I am head cannoning that Donnie has that trait.

So I am imagining a scenario where Donnie is going “I am going to headbutt you” to Leo.

Donnie ends up headbutting Leo’s shoulder. And Leo is like “That was less violent than expected.”

Donnie is like, “I’m sorry, do you want it to be violent?”

This ends up with Donnie ramming into Leo and they both end up passed out on the floor.

Raph and Mikey come in a few minutes later, and don’t question anything.

What do you think of Frida aka big mama assistant? I know we only saw in a few episodes or so and saw reveal her face but still thoughts?

Honestly, there’s really not much to think about regarding her as a character cause we know NOTHING about her as a character. She appears a total of 2(?) times in the show with no speaking lines. All we get from her character is that she is mysterious, is loyal to Big Mama, and is a skilled fighter (I can’t remember if we’ve ever seen her fight, but she probably is).

We don’t know her personality, her fears/weaknesses, her likes/dislikes, her hobbies, her history/relationship with Big Mama (whether it’s a loyal servant and her boss type relationship or if BM is a parental figure towards her), how she feels about Splinter and the Turtles (does she know they are her family or is unaware? If she does know, how does she feel about that? Does she feel resentment towards them, indifference, or something else?), etc.

The sad thing is, most fans will only ever know her as Big Mama’s Assistant, being completely unaware of the rottmnt comic issue or checked out the producers old Twitter posts that reveals her true identity.

As cool as a design and concept Frida aka Big Mama’s Assistant is, and ignoring all headcanons fans have of her, she’s sadly a nothing character. And I hate that she is a nothing character. I don’t want people to think I hate her, I love her in concept, but as a character she sadly has little to no character at all for me to love.

I just wish Nickelodeon didn’t abruptly cancel rottmnt so we were given time to get properly introduced to the character of Frida, and not “Big Mama’s Assistant”.

The Correct Episode Order for Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Have you noticed that every streaming service has Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episodes listed in a different order?

For instance, Netflix has Flushed, But Never Forgotten/Lair Games listed BEFORE Many Unhappy Returns, which chronologically doesn't make sense... Well, that's because the show originally aired in the wrong order...

How do we know the correct order?

Easy. Production Codes.

Nickelodeon now has the best episode order when viewing the episodes as-is (in their dual part form)

AN IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Since Nick aired most of the episodes as 30 minute blocks comprised of TWO SEPERATE episodes, the above list is still not the most ideal order list for those separate episodes...

Thus, the only way to get the most accurate order for each half-episode is to split the 30 minute blocks in half and then rearrange the sections according to their half-episode production codes...

Which is exactly what I did!!! 💜😁

Just a reminder? that Leo doesn’t actually think he is worthless and useless.

Yes, he has his moments of self-doubt, and he struggled to find his place in the team, but he is perfectly aware that he is Good. That he is skillful and athletic and smart. In fact he thinks he is awesome even when he is not, like his humour.

He just sparks joy all around. I know people like the ‘hides the Pain under the smile’ type, but Leo has a normal amount of issues. Like Raph, Donnie and Mikey.

Never Give Up. There is still time to save Rise.

I'm not mad that Mutant Mayhem exists, I'm mad that Nickelodeon seems to be glad to move on to a new iteration so quickly when they didn't even let Rise finish, and apparently MM has better action figures before it's even out than Rise got during its entire run.

Why didn't Rise get good toys? The actions figures it has look garbo.
