Hey hope you've been having a good week, how would mirko and midnight adjust to living a more normal life with their s/o after they were forced to retire from hero work due to injuries they received. Thanks
(I revived Y/N for Midnights section)
-Nemuri Kayama (Midnight)-
“Get back here” A voice could be heard from inside the apartment as a heavily bandaged hero slowly ran after her cat as the elderly feline dodged her with agility she could only wait to regain.
“Nemuri….” a menacing voice spoke from the shadows as the ex-hero froze in fear “you’re supposed to be in bed” the same voice growled as it inched closer. “But y/nnn” she complained before wincing in pain “that’s what I thought” Y/n huffed before helping her back to her bed throwing a quick glare at Sushi.
Nemuri couldn’t help but sigh dramatically, “Y/n I’m almost fully healed why do I have to stay in bed” Y/n snorted “You got out of the hospital three days ago”
Retirement was meant to be relaxing, but poor Nemuri just couldn’t stay still, after so many years in the field the hospital had recommended she go to counseling and pick up a few hobbies while she adjusted to being out of work. She wasn’t wanting for money since she hardly had time to spend what she made as a hero, and her s/o continued working so she couldn’t even find an excuse to get a job. It was nice being able to go to the grocery store or out on dates with her s/o once the masses had adjusted to her retirement. She even got to spend more time with Sushi, a cat that she had adopted from Oboro back in her UA days. It wasn’t the worst thing ever compared to the injuries she sustained knowing she would be feeling the effects of them for the rest of her life.
-Rumi Usagiyama (Mirko)-
“So how’s retirement treating you?” The winged hero asked his friend as she sighed setting her game controller down “it’s sooo boring” she whined adjusting her body a little as the bandages began to pull in an awkward position. “At least it’s safe” the blonde smiled as she scowled at him “I don’t want safe I want to be out helping people” she didn’t think it was fair, she was young, only twenty-seven, and already retired because of her injuries. “Why don’t you pick up a hobby?” Y/N asked carrying a tray of snacks towards the two “Like what?” the rabbit-eared woman questioned as her s/o shrugged “anything really, just something you like to do to pass the time”.
Even though she questioned the fairness of her situation, she quickly adjusted to her new routine and even picked up a multitude of hobbies. She started streaming easy home workouts once she healed up and filmed gaming videos that Keigo and Y/N would occasionally guest star in. It gave her a way to continue interacting with fans as well as pass the time whilst her best friend and s/o went to work. She went to counseling for awhile while dealing with the psychological effects that came with being a hero but stopped going eventually as it got easier now only seeing her therapist once a month. She adopted a few rabbits to keep her company since it did get lonely in being alone in the house for hours at a time.
Hello and welcome to my blog for simps and kinnies of many fandoms! Have a character request? Let me know! It's as simple as that!
Nobody lives forever. Nor did you ever intend to, no matter what anybody did to try and convince you to accept the extended life span you simply couldn’t. Immortality seemed to be such a cold and lonely thing. The brothers begged and the angels pleaded with you to do it for them not understanding any of the downsides that came with immortality. So when you lose your life at the hands of a jealous succubus everybody is distraught. There was nothing they could do, nothing you would let them do to help you. All they could do was make sure you were comfortable as the demon's magic slowly and painfully ate at your body from the inside out, shutting it down with extreme agony they were sure but you never showed it. Never let them see the pain as you coughed up blood, and definitely didn’t let them see the way fear crept into your eyes at the thought of leaving them all behind in such a painful way.
But there was nothing they could do. No amount of anguish or rage would fix this and when the time came to say goodbye nobody could bear to show up. Nobody could bear to watch the life fade from your eyes and you died alone. Alone, and in pain, but understanding nonetheless, the same way you’d always been. You had no regrets though, you never wanted them to witness your quick deterioration for you knew where you’d end up when all of this was over.
He had been gone for almost three months. Doing who knows what, leaving you with nothing but a slowly dying promise that he’d return and it was slowly becoming clear that he’s likely never coming back. He’d left you. It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence in your life, that you’d find something that made you happy and eventually it would end or that person would leave.
Usually it was easy picking up the pieces, but this was entirely different; he hadn’t left any pieces shattered on the ground for you to pick up like you were so used to. No, instead he simply vanished and took every piece of you with him. It left you feeling numb, spending every night crying in the bed the two of you once shared, his presence leaving a lasting imprint in your home and inevitably in your soul and a bottle of whiskey clutched to your side. It didn’t make sense to you, things seemed so well and it left you wondering if something had happened to scare him away.
Your scarred partner was many things and it wasn’t that hard to imagine him up and leaving without a thought but he had promised and amongst the many things he was, a liar wasn't one of them. So why wasn’t he back? It was a question you’d often ask yourself late at night.
He never did come back but staring down at his body at least you finally knew why.
Could you please repost your master list if you have one? Because I would like to be able to easily find things. If you don’t, it’s ok, I apologize for taking up your time by making you read this. Have a great day/night!
Hi! I currently don't have a master list but I'm working on making one that I'll be posting soon to hopefully make things easier to find :) have a great day/night
This was the second week in a row. Dinner’s gone cold again and your husband was nowhere to be found. Again. At first he’d call, text, something to let you know he was alright and that he’d probably be late. But now, it was like you were living with a stranger. The photos on the wall seem duller as time goes by. Your once happy and thriving marriage is damaged by the distance between you and your beloved Shoto. The late hours caused you both irritation as you sat up waiting for him most nights so you stopped. Being well rested allowed you to remain smiling as your split haired husband spat venom at you for one thing or another that was bothering him. His lunch got cold at work? You should’ve packed it hotter. Trip over one of his giant work boots? You should’ve put them away. At this point you think you should’ve left before it got to this point, your wrist burning as he grips it not letting you remove yourself from the conflict. His face was cold as he scolded you for dropping a plate after he’d snuck back into the house. It always felt like walking on eggshells around your once soft and caring husband who no longer seemed to linger. It’s not until he comes home to a near empty house and divorce papers on the table does he realize everything he should’ve done differently.
But it was too late and you were gone.
