Bruce Is Trying To Be A Good - Blog Posts

More batfam angst. Plus this is a play on what i have already posted and other I've read not only this but I read a fic similar but different sickness.

So what if Bruce has cancer and only Alfred know and has been sworn to secrecy about it non of the batkids know. Bruce would like to keep it that way because he doesn't want to burden them if they would even care he thinks.

One day, all of the kids are at the manor. Bruce is savoring having his kids around. Jason is snooping in Bruce's room and finds his meds. He is shock and reads what they are and figures out what they are for (I think all of the bat kids are trained in medicine a bit) he storms out and into where Bruce and the rest of the family are. He asks why the hell didn't Bruce tell them. The rest of the kids are confused dick walks up to him and takes the meds and looks at them. And realized what they are for. Dick looks at Bruce and asks if it is true. Bruce just replied that he didn't want to worry them and thought they wouldn't want to know. The 2 oldest look hurt. Tim looks over dick shoulder with no filter telling the rest of them.

That all i can think of at the moment. Feel free to add. The fic that made me think of this prompt is For Want of Comfort in a Quiet World by Certified_RedEyes. if this type of fic is your cup of tea, go give this fic Some love . I think it's great and have read multiple times already

Quick question does anyone know a fic where the bat kids find out that Bruce truly believes that they don't care about him they would be better off without him and if he were to disappear tomorrow they were just blink and move on and he accepts this as if it was 100% true because to him it is he doesn't see himself Worthy of being in their lives but he still loves them unconditionally even if they never return it and feels lucky for no matter how much time they allow him being there. Whatever time they give him he cherishes because to him it's just a matter of time when they decide they don't want to even look his way anymore and he doesn't blame them if that ever comes. The bat kids having to come to terms that their dad thinks that they don't care about him and that's if he was drop dead they would be better off because they wouldn't have to deal with him anymore. And it clicks for them when their dad gets so excited and brightens up a bit when they want to be around him that they're actually giving him the time of day because to him those are the small lights he has in his life the rare and fleeting moments of his kids actually wanted to be around him and not running off to ignore him or not be in the same room or the same house as him anymore he holds on to those moments so tight that if they were glass they would be shattered in his hand.

So this is an itch that I have found a few fic but not quite and I need something like this if anyone has an idea of a fic that is close to this Drop it Down Below in the comments so others including myself can go read them yeah thank you much
