Hm! I might not understand this completely but Lowell is very obsessive about his job. He wouldn't lose his obsessive tendencies he has for controlling other people even if his job would be both higher stress and higher pay- if anything, he might start becoming more controlling and possesive to cope with the stress.

A lot of why Lowell is doing what he's doing in game is because he's taking out his frustration with being chronically disabled and feeling helpless in his own body. That's a big part of the appeal for keeping a human "doll"- it's a body he gets to exert complete control over when his own is so volatile.

He's also just a little freak and happens to find it hot! There's no fixing this guy.

Lowell feels a little guilty about everything he eats, he doesn't really feel like he's worth getting his basic needs met. The other things he tends to eat the most often are cooked red cabbage with wine and onions, pumpernickel bread with margarine, and beans straight out of the can 💀 as a treat sometimes he eats salted licorice wheels. He is a phenomenal cook, but he doesn't spend all that much energy on actually cooking for himself. He's likely to go all out and cook you a 3-4 course meal and just sit there with his beans, not even bothering to put them on a plate or heat them up.

He did have braces as a preteen! He was the kind of kid to get horrible sores in his mouth and still insist on eating sour candy, lol

He LOVES tattoos! He would be so enchanted by every piece of art on you, tracing it with his fingers, taking pictures, making outfits that show off as much skin as he can manage to frame them nicely :3 he'd probably take you to a tattoo artist from time to time to get more on you as well, and he would be over the moon if you got one that was connected to him/ showed his ownership of you in some way.

Lowell has one (1) tattoo himself but he's always wanted more, he just doesn't know what to get. Matching couple tattoos would be a dream to him ^^

Kinda depends on your chosen route! The game is going to be built in 3 settings- in the medium setting if you don't struggle he'll back off pretty significantly with his creepy controlling tendencies, and these aspects will have a reduced impact on gameplay even if the player is fighting back.

In the high intensity route, the number of times Lowell will engage in something like that will decrease, but he isn't able to hold back on doing it completely- ultimately he does still get off on it, and it's incredibly appealing to him to be able to manipulate the player all the way down to what they're thinking and feeling!

So it really depends on how you play the game :)

Lowell can design clothes, so is he inspired by the style like a mix of Japanese fashion, vintage, or gothic stuff?

Lowell first got into fashion design while he was in middle school- he was really into scene, cybergoth, and emo culture and since he already knew how to sew he was able to make his own outfits to match the aesthetic.

Over time his fashion sense evolved, and his current inspirations are lolita, fairy kei, lovecore, and kitsch

Lowell has powers?

No, not powers. He's interested in methods of mind control, hypnosis, brainwashing, conditioning- ways to change your thoughts and your behavior. He doesn't have any supernatural powers, he just takes advantage of psychological susceptibility however he can.

Can Lowell erase memories? My guess he could rerewrite memories too?

Yeah but he's more interested in warping perception and opinion than erasing memory. Or using drugs to make memories fuzzy, but still present.

if we had met Lowell in high school and befriended him would he be different now?

A little bit, but not in the ways that matter, lol. He'd still be a killer, he'd still be a yan, and he'd still be pretty seriously emotionally disturbed.

It's also likely he would have tried to burn any bridges he had with you back then, especially if you were a good influence on him. Lowell isn't and doesn't want to be a good person, and while he was growing up he was a little more conscious of the fact that any relationship he had with people would inevitably be ruined by the fact that he acts like a monster. As he's grown older, he's gotten a lot more comfortable with being selfish, and he now believes that even if a relationship with him is not good for you, he still wants to pursue one. No matter how one sided that relationship may be.

If you happened to be really persistent while he was growing up and unusually good at dodging his bullshit, he may be a little less intentionally cruel to everyone and reserve his anger for his victims. He also may have tried to stay at home instead of running away, which might have given him the opportunity to actually finish school- something that would have decreased the progression of his disability quite a bit.

He will buy you the fanciest yarns and hooks, and make you a whole fiber art room just for your crafts. Everything you make would be proudly displayed and he would insist that you name everything, even wearables like shawls or scarves.

If you wanted, he'd make you a custom little tag to sew onto the things you make with a logo of your name so everything you do looks extra professional!

How does Lowell know hypnosis, and what would the trigger be? Like a nickname?

He picked it up online and in a few different kink clubs :-) he'd probably be a little shit and have "doll" or "dolly" be the trigger word for you so that he could drop you every time he used your pet name, but some people aren't responsive to trigger words, so he doesn't bank on that working necessarily.

He'd definitely take advantage of flashing lights and bright colors, repetitive motions, pleasure conditioning, and looping audio files. Fractionation is one of his favorite methods to turn your brain off. People respond to different methods pretty variably, so he's happy to tinker with his technique until he finds the right one to make you fuzzy, suggestionable, and completely reliant on him.

he was deeply invested in scene culture, a bit of a stoner, and terrible at studying. Didn't really have any friends to speak of. He spent most of his time with his headphones in refusing to participate or hold a conversation with anyone.

He's killed a few people by now! didn't always have a reason :) you aren't the first dolly he's had, but sometimes the arrangement ended... poorly.

yea but you DO have to do little performances for him and he WILL make you wear special little outfits while you do it. he might record it for... personal use... later. he'll even build a little display stand to put your flag and your other various props in, he's supportive but like, he's still gonna be a freak about it

why arent Lowell and his sister talking?

he left home around 17 and she didn't have a phone or internet access at the time, so he wasn't able to stay in contact with her that way, and he wasn't willing to send letters in case his mother received them instead. he still feels pretty guilty for essentially abandoning her, and he knows he isn't a great person, so he doesn't really want to impact her life negatively by association. he looks her up pretty frequently to check in on her and follows her socials through a burner account, but that's about it.

Here she is!

Her name is Sybbie, and while she will not appear in person in the game, she will be featured in easter eggs and dialogue options. She's a history student and a talented vocalist and string musician, she has a girlfriend who is a professional ren faire/ medieval times knight and blacksmith, and some of her favorite things are hard candy, high fantasy novels, and her enormous irish wolf hound service dog, Wulfric. She's a little short (5'2"), and she's a top :3

She's absolutely hopeless at cooking and cleaning, so she lives off of mostly canned soup, scrambled or boiled eggs, fruit, and bread and butter. She misses her brother very much, and is often worried about him. Has ulcerative colitis and some of Lowell's chronic illnesses as well.

a little of both! he was raised in a pretty toxic environment and he is also just a fucked up little guy! his chronic illnesses have a lot to do with his actions during the game as well- he is in a position of feeling like he is losing total control, and he is desperate to regain any semblance of it back. if he can't control his own body, maybe controlling someone else's will make him feel better :3c

man I really have to emphasize how Big Scary Lowell is in croquembouche bc while the other two settings range from fluffy to mid-tier yan shenanigans like. I want to make it abundantly clear that there are going to be elements of drug use, non consensual sex, heavy gore, gaslighting, and attempted mind control in this game. it's a murdersim and it'll be made to be fairly intense and frightening in its full realization. the other modes will be there for players who don't want as intense of an experience but this is a game by a horror kinkster for horror kinksters

Lowell went to culinary school but ended up having to drop out in the last couple of months due to medical and financial complications- he hates his current job and believes he is overqualified and deserves to work in a much more elevated environment

He has a younger sister that he's kept tabs on over the years, but he hasn't had contact with his family in a long time.

Lowell learned to sew from his mother, who was a seamstress while he was growing up in Massachusetts.

His very first ever collection was frog statues, the kind you'd find in a garden store. They all had names, personalities, and intricate backstories. He kept notes on them in a Lisa Frank notebook, and would rearrange their positions in his room frequently.

He's not a natural redhead!

Lowell was a smoker for a very long time, and while he no longer chainsmokes, he'll still light up a cigarette if he's particularly exhausted, stressed, or needs a little treat.

He can't swim :(

He has pretty poor wound healing, and he scars and bruises really easily.

He met you first through your job! MC will have a position in an art store and he saw you while looking for a specialty fabric dye.

He has killed people before.

On top of being an insomniac he doesn't really like sleeping in beds- when he sleeps it's usually on the couch or floor or something.

Worried. He isn't father material and the life that he wants to keep his dolly in is not conducive to children. Depending on the level of obsession he feels for them, he'd either kidnap them and leave the existing children at their home, choose a different target entirely, OR, in the case of a pregnancy he was not aware of, potentially leave the child at a firestation or hospital.

Lowell is not a good person, and he knows that. One of his major boundaries is not purposefully subjecting children to neglect, abuse, or emotional harm, to whatever extent he can manage that. If he's obsessed enough with his current victim, he might risk neglect of the children by taking his target away from them... but that's about the extent he'll go.

yes! that project has taken a bit of a back seat to flowers of evil at the moment but darling dollhouse is still in the works and there will be content about it on my patreon as well as some other projects in the future once my plate is a little less full!
