Both Padme and Anakin's eyes curiously gazed down at yours, a combination of shock, delight and surprise. "You wish to... marry Luke?" "How can you ask that, father? I love her." The words sent a shiver down your spine still, even after twenty three years of hearing it. "Have you proposed, Luke?" Padme asked, the beads of her gorgeous, handmade attire and jewelry glistening in the light of the house. Luke nodded in affirmation. He looked at you, a sweet smile on his lips as he gestured for you to show them. You held out your hand, revealing a small, silver ring, with the two Tatooine suns in perfect position, Padme gasped and smiled, her hand going to Anakin's and you could see Anakin's mouth open slightly. "It's handmade?" Padme looked at Luke, her eyes watering slightly. "Yes. It took me a while..." Luke chuckled, a faint blush on his cheeks. "And all we had to do was wait twenty three years..." Anakin laughed. "So, Father, can I marry her? The love of my life?" Luke asked, his eyes set upon his parents, his breath gone with the anticipation, the fear of rejection was a feeling he wanted to never experience with the blessing of loving you. The older couple, his parents, took no hesitation and said yes in unison and your heart skipped two beats. You stood still. Time seemed to freeze.
