I adore the trans regulus headcannon and it’s something that brings me so much comfort, but I feel that we always just say he cuts his hair and wears stereotypical boys clothes and suddenly he passes completely, and I just feel as though we should sometimes delve much deeper into him NOT passing, and how that affects the way he lives life, because not everyone’s trans journeys are the same, and not everyone passes, and yet in things like fanfics and stories the trans characters pass even though that’s not true to the experiences of lots of trans people, and although I don’t know if other non passing trans people feel like this, it makes me feel like I’m less or not valid because people wouldn’t look at me and think that I was a boy.

Jegulily au where there are soul mate marks and lily has a sun and a star on her wrists and james has a flower and a star on his like hip area and they get together and they both are crushing hard on sirius’ little sister but are sad because she doesn’t match their last mark. Then regulus runs away from home and comes out as trans and when they hear his name they both freak out and corner him. Regulus shows they the sun and flower mark he has on his shoulders then they all smoochie kiss and live happily ever after.

Trans Regulus AU where James opens the door to see Kreacher holding a baby before handing it to him and disappearing, and he has never been more confused. That is, until he looks down at the baby and it has the same grey eyes as the man he once loved back in school; the man he once left.

Sirius being really worried that Regulus’s future boyfriend wouldn’t know how to handle him being trans and Regulus getting hurt, then Sirius being elated when he finds out James (HIS James) is Regulus’ boyfriend and sitting down with James to make sure he will treat Regulus right.

Headcannon that Pandora was the one who cut Regulus' hair the first time (before he properly came out). Regulus was so excited to show his brother, but what he didn't expect was Sirius looking at him with absolute horror in his eyes. Regulus was planning to tell his brother he was trans that day, but that look stopped him in his tracks. He didn't understand it was because Sirius was terrified of their mother's reaction

(after his friends) james makes him feel seen, he makes him feel confident because in james' eyes he is a boy no matter how much transphobia he gets to endure during a day.

james looks at him and sees nothing but a boy that is lethally beautiful and dangerous.
